Taob - The Dumb Version #1 Pilot

Post by YoungX on Wed Mar 30, 2016 12:45 pm

So I made an abridged parody version of Taob in text. Enjoy. If you have any feedback or just want to comment feel free.
Warning: This is a parody. Any ideas or characters represented do not fully represent the actual Role-play itself. So if you feel offended by the portrayal of anything here, well too bad you've already been warned.

Pilot:

Taob: The Dumb Version

In the year 2002, people all over the world have started playing a children’s card game. It is now only one year after people have started playing a children’s card game, and with the power of needless corporate spending, a school on a remote island was built dedicated to teaching people how to play a children’s card game. It’s name is AKA aka AKA, and now the Taob.

Anthony: Man, staring at this window is fun. Its just too bad it doesn’t make me a main character; that stuff always works in Japanese high schools.

Dirk: You should stop staring at the window. Both of us barely qualify as side characters. By the way we’re going to pick up the main characters soon.

Anthony: Finally I can stop staring at this window.

Dirk: Since we have nothing better to do let’s play a card game.

Anthony: I may as well.

Card Game #1

Anthony: I summon a generic monster.

Dirk: I too will summon a generic monster and attack your generic monster.

Anthony: Too bad my generic monster has more defense than your attack points, and now I’m going to tribute summon an even bigger generic monster.

Dirk: I’m going to summon a generic monster with 2000 defense points with a very generic defense raising equip card. Have fun getting over this generic monster. Man I really love these generic monsters.

Anthony: Man I would be glad to rekt your generic monster but I just noticed that it’s time to pick up the main characters.

20 minutes later

Anthony: What a nice little interlude. I just hope this isn’t a prank, and that people won’t come to a remote island to learn how to play a children’s card game.

Dirk: Don’t worry. What kind of moron passes up the chance to get out of real school, and come over to another school on a remote island?

Anthony: Your right. Hopefully nothing bad will happen while they’re there.

Minor security Guard: Excuse me minor characters we have get ready to dock the ship. If you could be so kind as to get ready and lead the main characters in that would be great.

Allison: Oh man I’m late. Why did I have to spend the night on Dolphin videos? I just hope I’m able to make it on time. Oh thank god I made it on time. If I missed the boat then I would have nothing better to do.

Anthony: I’m just here to give free stuff. Don’t forget your free stuff.

Allison: Thank you very much minor character. I hope there’s a dolphin in there somewhere.

Morgan: What a big ship. Didn’t think going to a school that teaches card games would be a big deal.

Daichi: Man I love having white hair even though its highly unlikely that a teenager would ever have it. It makes me feel like an anime protagonist. God this trip sucked hopefully a long boat ride will make up for it. With my white hair I’ll definitely win some card games.

Anwen: Like Oh mah God this ship is like totally fetch! It’s like so FANTABULOUSSS!

Lydia: Screw the rules I’m rich and powerful. Using cheap references is beneath me.

Everett: I love duel monsters! With the power of my dead father on my side I‘ll be sure to be the best duelist. Being a poor kid from the streets will make me the clear underdog in this RP.

Jasper: Helllooo fine sir! The name’s Jasper. I’ll be taking my free stuff now kay thanks.

Lydia: I’m going to show off my intelligence by reading War and Peace.

Morgan: Man everyone seems so average even though we’re all main characters with unique looks that normal people would never have. We’re definitely RP main characters all right.

Daichi (To Morgan): Hi there I love having white hair!

Morgan: Hi. Now I’m gonna look at my booster.

Jasper (Opening his pack): (Thoughts) OH GOD YESS I LOVEEEEE LOOOOOOVEEEE THE NEW TRADING CARD SMELLLLL *SNIIIIIFFFFF OHHHHH YEAAAAHHHH

Green Witch: I feel really apathetic right now. (*Breathes heavily) Sigh. Does this ship contain any books? Even though a ship probably doesn’t even a library. I’m elated. *Breathes heavily Whooo *dull sounding.

Jason: I have absolutely no lines as of now. I’m just going to go board the ship like a minor character.

Everett (Looking at Jasper): Oh dear god he’s sniffing those cards like a madman. It’s kind of like an addiction to crack. I’m gonna walk away now.

Allison: Ok I got my deck and booster. I hope they have dolphin cards. I REALLLLLLY love dolphins.

Everett (To Lydia): Hi there. I’ve noticed your reading a classic piece of literature. It’s too bad I never got to finish it in class.

Lydia: I have far too much money to be dealing with you. Begone peasant.

Anthony (To Dirk): It seems that the rest of the main characters haven’t arrived yet. Oh well looks like they’ll just have to appear later on without any explanation.

Dirk: That’s fine by me. I’m gonna make a big announcement on the speakers. I’ve always wanted to do that.

Dirk: Ahem. Attention every main character on this ship and minor characters, welcome to this rather large boat that will take you to a remote island off the coast of who knows where. This trip will take about 10 hours, which is translated to about a month or so in real time. You have here a Duelist Identification, which is basically your ID on this island. Plus you don’t even need to spend any real money. You get awarded points from winning children’s card games, which can be spent on more trading cards. Oh and we’re going to have a crash course on Duel Monsters in 30 minutes.

Morgan: *Throws 100 dollar bill.  Well so much for relying on capitalism. Time to stare at the window like a main character.
