Magician Girl
So after extensive inner moral and ethical debates as to how attracted I can be to a Yu-Gi-Oh card(s), I decided to just make an educational discussion instead. Arousal, being used for the better good. That's the American way.

Anyway, back to this. So Magician Girls just got more support, and with six members (technically seven if you count the fusion), I finally feel like we can talk about each of these cards individually.
And that's where we stand right now on this archetype! Any interesting thoughts or interactions you guys can think of? Discuss it here. Ciao. ~

Anyway, back to this. So Magician Girls just got more support, and with six members (technically seven if you count the fusion), I finally feel like we can talk about each of these cards individually.
- Dark Magician Girl:
Dark Magican Girl
Level 6 DARK Spellcaster-Type Effect Monster
ATK 2000
DEF 1700
This card gains 300 ATK for every "Dark Magician" or "Magician of Black Chaos" in either player's Graveyard.
The original Magician Girl, and now the worst. Dark Magician Girl offers little to nothing for the deck now that the Magician Girls as a whole have mostly split off from Dark Magician as an archetype. That being said, it's still an extra name and it can be milled/used as fusion material using Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight, so it's definitely worth considering, but only for the name.
- Kiwi Magician Girl:
Kiwi Magician Girl
Level 5 WIND Spellcaster-Type Effect Monster
ATK 1800
DEF 1200
(1) During either player’s turn: Discard this card from your hand; “Magician Girl” monsters you control gain 300 ATK and DEF times the number of different “Magician Girl” monsters on the field and in the Graveyards, until the end of the turn.
2) Spellcaster-Type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by effects or targeted by opponent’s effects.
The highest leveled Magician Girl, and probably one of the strangest. It's ATK gain is pretty much guaranteed to be at least 600, since it will count itself in the graveyard at resolution. On top of that, if you can drop two or three of these in a turn it's OTK-central. It's on-field effect definitely isn't bad either. Definitely worth running multiple copies for the full-field ATK gain.
- Apple Magician Girl:
Apple Magician Girl
Level 3 FIRE Spellcaster-Type Effect Monster
ATK 1200
DEF 800
(1) Once per turn, when this card is targeted for an attack: You can Special Summon a Level 5 or lower Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand. Then change the attack target to that monster, and the attacking monster’s ATK is halved.
(2) When this card is destroyed by battle or effect, target up to 3 other “Magician Girl” monsters with different names in your Graveyard. Add those cards to your hand.
This card is insane. Absolutely insane. When it's destroyed, you get three Magician Girls from your graveyard. Three! You co plus two off of this card, and you can recycle anything you want. It's first effect isn't bad either, being able to drop Kiwi on the field in a pinch. Keep in mind that its second effect can add "Apple Magician Girl", just not the same copy that was destroyed.
- Lemon Magician Girl:
Lemon Magician Girl
Level 2 LIGHT Spellcaster-Type Effect Monster
ATK 800
DEF 600
Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 "Magician Girl" monster, except "Lemon Magician Girl"; add 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, if this card is targeted for an attack: You can Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand, but its effects are negated, then change the attack target to that monster, and if you do, halve the attacking monster's ATK.
The first new Magician Girl announced, and still amazing. You're able to tribute any Magician Girl monster, including your lowest leveled one (we'll get to her soon) to search out any Magician Girl. Not only is that great consistency, but it also acts as a sort of protection so you don't have to leave your weaker Magician Girls on the field. On top of that, its second effect is wonderful, allowing you to trick/force an attack into Apple Magician Girl and netting you some insane pluses. Definitely a great card.
- Berry Magician Girl:
Berry Magican Girl
Level 1 EARTH Spellcaster-Type Effect Monster
ATK 400
DEF 400
(1) If this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 “Magician Girl” Monster from your Deck to your Hand.
(2) Once per turn, when this card is targeted for an attack or an opponent’s card effect: Change this card’s battle position, and if you do, Special Summon 1 “Magician Girl” monster from your Deck, except “Berry Magician Girl”.
This card is definitely the best card in this deck, seeing as it not only searches any Magician Girl on summon, but it also acts as a Decoy Dragon, giving it some great pseudo-protection. You can also summon this using "Lemon Magician Girl" to guarantee the summon. This card is actually amazing, and will probably be the pivotal point of the deck.
- Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight:
Dark Magican Girl the Dragon Knight
Level 7 DARK Dragon-Type Effect Monster
ATK 2600
DEF 1700
"Dark Magician Girl" + 1 Dragon-Type monster
Must be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Material Monsters or with "The Eye of Timaeus", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy that target.
This card is our boss fusion, and... not very good. First of all, you need the original "Dark Magician Girl", which already neuters its use. Second of all, it's a Dragon-type, meaning it loses a lot of its potential synergy within the deck. Third, you need to draw into the "Eye of Timaeus", seeing as you won't be running "Magician's Robe" for the most part. All in all, it can be used, but really shouldn't be.
- Choco Magician Girl:
Choco Magician Girl
WATER Spellcaster-Type / Effect /
[Blurred]
The last Magician Girl, but no effect yet! Check back later! ~
And that's where we stand right now on this archetype! Any interesting thoughts or interactions you guys can think of? Discuss it here. Ciao. ~

Re: Magician Girl
It has potential, but as of now it loses to many things -- mostly the fact that meta says "fuck you" to basically anything this deck tries to do. The whole thing about being targeted to get off their effects; most "good" effects right now that remove cards from the field don't target. (I.E Ingister, Kozmojo, and such).
With the threat of other cards that stop monster effects, such as Solemn Strike being at 3, and extensive removal that makes their "target and I get my effect" thing irrelevant. Most decks will beat down so quickly that this deck won't get a chance to play. This deck seems like it requires a bit to set up, and it reminds me a little of PSY-Frames; mostly because it seems like it relies on your opponent too much. The effects that activate on attacks? Utopia the Lightning. My guess, this deck will be around tier 3, until we see Cocoa's effect. This opinion is subject to change as more support is announced.
