Words are hard.
Hello. I'm Daring. Except that I'm not, though that is quite far from the point of the matter, which is to say that I am "new" here. I've never really understood the real use of these sorts of threads, to be honest. Anyhow! Here it is! A few things about me:
I'm a competitive player of video games, with a few years of competitive Smash and TF2 under my belt, in addition to a decade of obsession with all kinds of competitive games. I've also done reasonably well in Chess, Starcraft, World of Warcraft, and League of Legends over the years, and between them have covered most of the different genres.
Beyond games, I have a love of language and writing, and hobby write and edit, though inconsistently. At university, I double majored in French and Spanish for a time, but decided I couldn't handle two languages at once when I, sleep deprived, slipped into French in my Spanish oral exam. Since then, however, I've lost most of my vocabulary, though I still love talking about grammar.
I found this place via a post on reddit by, if my names are correct here, Mr. Asgore Dreemurr. I haven't touched Yu-Gi-Oh! since about twelve years ago, if memory serves. What I told Dreemurr is that I still don't know what a "synchro" is, but I do know that I can make 3 blue dragons into one dragon with 3 heads, but that it seemed like a bad option because 3 blue dragons is pretty good already. I do, however, have roughly 18 years of on-and-off-again Magic: The Gathering experience, if that accounts for anything around here.
I was told this was a general gaming group, but if it's still just a Yu-Gi-Oh! forum, I can skedaddle. If not, y'all seem like nice enough people, and I wouldn't mind sticking around for a bit. I've been hanging out on the discord for about a week, but have refrained from posting up until this point.
In any case, Cheers!

Gasp! I'm actually replying to someone's introduction message! (I really don't do this often, if ever so feel special.) Anyway, welcome and enjoy your stay, you probably won't be seeing me around on discord much though.
