[TAoB](Mid/High) Journey to the island 1

A man in his late 20s was standing in front of a window of a ship looking at the endless blue ocean in front of him. The man didn't seem very impressive, he wasn't tall or muscular. The colours of the clothes he wore were starting to fade and they looked somewhat stretched. The shirt he was wearing was very light blue, however it was clear it once had a much brighter color which had a print of multiple playing cards. Further more he wore normal jeans and a pair of normal shoes which noses were almost worn out. His light brown hair was messy like he just woke up and didn't bother doing anything about his hair. As the man was looking out of the window, the door behind him swung open with a loud screech. A man in a suit was the one who had opened the door and seemed to be the polar opposite to the one  looking out of the window. He was tall, muscular and and looked like he cared what people thought about him. The suit looked like it was made for this man which made him look even more impressive. His voice echoed throughout the room as he spoke, it was a deep somewhat hoarse voice.
"Hey Anthony, how long do you think you can just stay around here? You know that we'll be arriving shortly, if it weren't for me I'm positive you'd still be on the island."
The man turned around with a carefree smile on his face as if the words didn't phase him and sighed. "I know, I know. You don't have to keep reminding me every time you get the chance Dirk. What were you doing anyway, you also almost missed the boat. That's very unlike you." Anthony replied with a playful tone in his voice his voice was fairly neutral, almost no emotion that he didn't want to could be heard from his tone. Although he sometimes spoke a bit too fast and a syllable was lost, other than that there wasn't anything special about his voice.
"Yeah, that's right. However after noticing that you weren't on the ship 30 minutes before we were going to depart I decided to go looking for you, since knowing you the chance of you missing the boat was high. You might've defeated me in tournaments before, however your behavior outside the tournaments aren't anything but unprofessional." Dirk said with a sharp tone in his voice.
Anthony chuckled nervously "You've got a point there, however how could I stay focused while I was thinking about all the children who will go to this school?" He said with excitement in his voice.
Dirk started to calm down a bit and sighed. "I get where you're coming from, however you should REALLY mind the time." He took a quick glance at his watch. "Hmm. we're not scheduled to arrive for another 30 minutes." As soon as his sentence ended a sly grin appeared on his face and asked "Wanna play?"
"You still gotta ask?" Anthony replied without thinking in a playful tone. "So wanna play for real or just for fun?"
Dirk's grin grew wider. "You still gotta ask?" He said in a similar tone to Anthony.

"Well then, seeing how you challenged me, I'll begin. My turn. Draw! Hmm..." As soon as the duel began Anthony seemed to change, his personality and the vibe he had changed in a snap. From easy-going and lazy to completely focused and serious. "I set a monster and end my turn." Anthony's voice seemed deeper and could easily be heard throughout the entire room, due to the confidence that was behind the voice. He made a simple hand gesture at the end of his turn signifying Dirk could go.
Dirk looked at Anthony to see if he could read a bluff from his face but nothing was showing. "Okay then, my turn. Draw! It's best to have a strong start, and hope you've got nothing there. I normal summon witch's apprentice and activate Yami. My monster now has 1250 attack. Battle phase. My monster attacks your set one."
Anthony flipped the monster and grinned. "Too bad, Armail has 1300 defense. Take 50 damage."
Dirk's face was completely calm however he wasn't. 'A monster with 1300 defense, really?! I would've prefered a mystical elf over that." He sighed. "Well that's everything I can do for now. Your turn."
"Well then." Anthony said with an excited voice. "This is where things get interesting. Draw! I tribute my armail to tribute summon lava battleguard in attack mode."
Dirk's face twitched for a second. "Lava Battleguard huh, that's a pretty good card. Was it your recommendation?"
"Uhuh, anyway Lava Battleguard attacks your witch."
Dirk sighed and put his monster in the graveyard "I take 300 points of damage."
"Well then I think I'll leave it at that for now. Your turn. Let's see if you can draw a card that can combat my Lava Battleguard."
Dirk drew a card. 'Exactly the card I was waiting for.' He set the card he just drew and 2 cards in his spell and trap card zone and passed the turn to Anthony.
"Ah you bastard, you know I don't know these decks by heart." Anthony exclaimed. "Ah well, nothing I can do about it. Draw! Exactly what I needed. I equip legendary sword to my Lava Battleguard which boosts his attack and defense by 300 points and I attack your face down."
Dirk smiled. "Sorry, it's a Mystical Elf and with Yami her defense is 2200, you'll be taking 350 points of damage now."
"Is this your definition in fun, tying the lifepoints with your oppon-" As he started looking back at his cards he'd noticed the time. "Sorry I have to leave."
"Afraid you might lose because you can't get over my monster?" Dirk said with a wide smile on his face.
"No, well actually yes. However that's not the point. We'll be arriving shortly, and I doubt people want to see me wearing this." He gestured to his outfit.
Dirk sighed. "For once you're right. Go, you might still have enough time to fix everything." He said in a playful tone.

About 20 minutes later 2 men were standing on the ship, both wearing suits. As the wind was blowing rather strongly they were looking at the harbor which was getting closer and closer. "You ready for this Anthony?" Dirk asked. Anthony nodded, if one were to compare how he looked before and now no one would believe it was the same person. His hair was neatly combed, he wore a well tailored suit which made him look taller and bigger than he actually was. He sighed. "I hope people will show up and don't think it's some sort of prank."
"Don't you worry about that." Dirk exclaimed. "We've got perfectly credible financial backers who surely have promoted the hell out of this school." A security guard came running towards them. "Mister Deon, mister Bobson, please come inside for your own safety we're about to dock." With that they walked inside and waited until the docking was complete.

About 15 minutes later a small desk was put next to the entrance to the ship where Anthony sat and Dirk was inspecting everything on the ship hoping everything was in order.

Allison walked onto the duel ring, scanning her ID card as per usual. Once she was prepared, she nodded to Green. “Ready when you are.”

Green got on top of the Duel Ring and scanned in his ID card. And waited for the game to begin.

Allison drew her first card, sifting through her hand before starting. “Alright, I summon Zombie Dragon in attack mode! Then, I activate Wastelands before ending my turn.”

“I draw then” Drawing a card Green looked through his set and started to think of what play he wanted to go with. “I’ll go ahead and set this card and end my turn”

Allison drew a card before deciding to just deal with the set monster. “Alright, Zombie Dragon, attack!” She bit her lip when she saw Hane-Hane; it would slow her down, but luckily she wouldn’t lose any advantage. “Alright, I’ll just summon Zombie Dragon again and end my turn!”

Drawing another card Green knew that he was in a little pickle already, but he wasn’t sweating it as much. “I summon Big Insect in defense position and activate my spell card Laser Canon Armor, to give it 1800 Def! And then i end my turn”

Allison tilted her head. That would be difficult to get over… She drew her next card before grinning. Good draw. “Alright, I’ll set one monster face-down and end my turn.”

Drawing another card, he had no reaction to it, only to play “insect soldiers of the sky”, and activate “Share the Pain” taking out his Insect Soldiers. Putting them back to how they were two plays ago. “I’ll end my turn here”

Allison nodded before drawing again. Since her Castle of Dark Illusions had been tributed away, she needed to get over that insect with something else. “Alright, I summon Muka Muka in attack mode! Muka Muka, destroy his Big Insect. Dragon Zombie, attack him directly! Now, I end my turn.”

Green didn’t like in the position he was in, drawing another dead card he set a card down and ended his turn.

Allison drew another card. She was at a huge advantage now. Just had to keep this up. “Alright, I summon my Clown Zombie in attack mode! Dragon Zombie, destroy his set monster,” she paused to make sure she had succeeded before continuing, “and Clown Zombie and Muka Muka, attack him directly. I end my turn.”

Getting the card he was looking for, Green was dissapointed that his petite moth wouldn’t survive. Knowing he lost this duel he placed it in to atleast summon it, while activating “Cocoon of Evolution” “I end my turn”

Allison drew her card before sighing in relief. It looked like it was over. “Alright, I attack using my Muka Muka. Now, Clown Zombie, Dragon Zombie, finish him off!” Once Green’s lifepoints dropped to zero, Allison smiled sweetly. “Good game.”

Green smiled, he was happy that losing duels wouldn’t place him down a rank in the dorms, but he was going to need to fix his deck if he’s going to keep on staying in Blue. “Thanks that was a fun duel, it showed me that i needed more work on my deck, or i got bad draws. Either way I need more testing. Good Game”

Alexis smiled at her freind "Okay lets duel, I draw, I will set one monster face down and set another card face down, and end my turn"

Anwen smiles. "I draw! First I activate my two spell cards to deal 1200 damage to you and I will take 500 in doing so. Then, I summon Jinzo 7 and with his ability, I can attack you directly! I then set 1 card and end my turn!"

Alexis smiled, drawing her card "I summon Gokibore in attack mode!"

Anwen giggles and winks. "Not going to happen. You activated my trap card! Trap hole destroys your monster. With that my turn starts. I draw!" she says, drawing her card and adding it to her hand. I then use jinzo 7 to attack you directly. Then during my main phase 2 I tribute my monster to summon another face down. I then end my turn."

Alexis smiled, "I summon Leghul in attack mode! and with its effect I can attack you directly! and on my main phase 2 I activate share the pain and tribute my leghul to get rid of your monster! and with that I end my turn"

Anwen frowns. "Well that is dissapoiting. I draw." She says as she draws her card and looks at the cards in her hand. "I summon queens double and attack you directly. I then set a card and end my turn."

Alexis smiled "I summon big insect! and flip giant rat to attack mode, then I attack with Rat and end my turn"

"I activate my trap, horn of heaven to negate your summon. Now that it is my turn, I draw. I then set 1 card and activate my spell card to deal 500 damage to you."

Alexis frowned that her insect was destroyed but smiled "I will activate forest then attack with my giant rat to destroy your face down!"

Anwen draws her card and shrugs. "I set 1 card and end my turn."

Alexis draws her card and smiles "Attack giant rat! and with I end my turn"

Anwen draws and looks into Alexis' eyes. "I end my turn."

Alexis looks at Anwen and frowns "What's wrong? I attack with rat and end my turn"

Anwen shrugs and draws again. "I end my turn."

Alexis frowns "After this duel....I wanna give you something, i attack with rat and end my turn"

Anwen nods and draws her card. "I set 1 monster and 1 card. I then end my turn."

Alexis draws and looks at her hand "I set one card face down and attack with rat then end my turn"

"Well. Yolo! I activate fairy meteor crush on your monster to give you piercing. I then set 1 card and end my turn."

Alexis smiled and giggled "This is fun, I draw and attack with rat then end my turn"

Anwen giggles a bit and nods. "I set 1 card and end my turn."

Alexis smiled and attacks with rat again, tributing her face down and bringing out dungeon worm.

Anwen smiles. "I set 1 card and end my turn."

Alexis looks at Anwen "Your really fun!" she says, still having the lollipop in her mouth, setting a monster face down and attacking with rat, ending her turn.

Anwen takes a lollipop out of her bag. It was green apple. Not the best, but not the worst. "I set a card and end my turn."

Alexis smiled "I tribute my face down then attack with giant rat, then I attack with my hercules beetle! to end the duel!"

Anwen smiles and puts her deck away. "Good game."
