[TAoB](Mid/High) Journey to the island 1

A man in his late 20s was standing in front of a window of a ship looking at the endless blue ocean in front of him. The man didn't seem very impressive, he wasn't tall or muscular. The colours of the clothes he wore were starting to fade and they looked somewhat stretched. The shirt he was wearing was very light blue, however it was clear it once had a much brighter color which had a print of multiple playing cards. Further more he wore normal jeans and a pair of normal shoes which noses were almost worn out. His light brown hair was messy like he just woke up and didn't bother doing anything about his hair. As the man was looking out of the window, the door behind him swung open with a loud screech. A man in a suit was the one who had opened the door and seemed to be the polar opposite to the one  looking out of the window. He was tall, muscular and and looked like he cared what people thought about him. The suit looked like it was made for this man which made him look even more impressive. His voice echoed throughout the room as he spoke, it was a deep somewhat hoarse voice.
"Hey Anthony, how long do you think you can just stay around here? You know that we'll be arriving shortly, if it weren't for me I'm positive you'd still be on the island."
The man turned around with a carefree smile on his face as if the words didn't phase him and sighed. "I know, I know. You don't have to keep reminding me every time you get the chance Dirk. What were you doing anyway, you also almost missed the boat. That's very unlike you." Anthony replied with a playful tone in his voice his voice was fairly neutral, almost no emotion that he didn't want to could be heard from his tone. Although he sometimes spoke a bit too fast and a syllable was lost, other than that there wasn't anything special about his voice.
"Yeah, that's right. However after noticing that you weren't on the ship 30 minutes before we were going to depart I decided to go looking for you, since knowing you the chance of you missing the boat was high. You might've defeated me in tournaments before, however your behavior outside the tournaments aren't anything but unprofessional." Dirk said with a sharp tone in his voice.
Anthony chuckled nervously "You've got a point there, however how could I stay focused while I was thinking about all the children who will go to this school?" He said with excitement in his voice.
Dirk started to calm down a bit and sighed. "I get where you're coming from, however you should REALLY mind the time." He took a quick glance at his watch. "Hmm. we're not scheduled to arrive for another 30 minutes." As soon as his sentence ended a sly grin appeared on his face and asked "Wanna play?"
"You still gotta ask?" Anthony replied without thinking in a playful tone. "So wanna play for real or just for fun?"
Dirk's grin grew wider. "You still gotta ask?" He said in a similar tone to Anthony.

"Well then, seeing how you challenged me, I'll begin. My turn. Draw! Hmm..." As soon as the duel began Anthony seemed to change, his personality and the vibe he had changed in a snap. From easy-going and lazy to completely focused and serious. "I set a monster and end my turn." Anthony's voice seemed deeper and could easily be heard throughout the entire room, due to the confidence that was behind the voice. He made a simple hand gesture at the end of his turn signifying Dirk could go.
Dirk looked at Anthony to see if he could read a bluff from his face but nothing was showing. "Okay then, my turn. Draw! It's best to have a strong start, and hope you've got nothing there. I normal summon witch's apprentice and activate Yami. My monster now has 1250 attack. Battle phase. My monster attacks your set one."
Anthony flipped the monster and grinned. "Too bad, Armail has 1300 defense. Take 50 damage."
Dirk's face was completely calm however he wasn't. 'A monster with 1300 defense, really?! I would've prefered a mystical elf over that." He sighed. "Well that's everything I can do for now. Your turn."
"Well then." Anthony said with an excited voice. "This is where things get interesting. Draw! I tribute my armail to tribute summon lava battleguard in attack mode."
Dirk's face twitched for a second. "Lava Battleguard huh, that's a pretty good card. Was it your recommendation?"
"Uhuh, anyway Lava Battleguard attacks your witch."
Dirk sighed and put his monster in the graveyard "I take 300 points of damage."
"Well then I think I'll leave it at that for now. Your turn. Let's see if you can draw a card that can combat my Lava Battleguard."
Dirk drew a card. 'Exactly the card I was waiting for.' He set the card he just drew and 2 cards in his spell and trap card zone and passed the turn to Anthony.
"Ah you bastard, you know I don't know these decks by heart." Anthony exclaimed. "Ah well, nothing I can do about it. Draw! Exactly what I needed. I equip legendary sword to my Lava Battleguard which boosts his attack and defense by 300 points and I attack your face down."
Dirk smiled. "Sorry, it's a Mystical Elf and with Yami her defense is 2200, you'll be taking 350 points of damage now."
"Is this your definition in fun, tying the lifepoints with your oppon-" As he started looking back at his cards he'd noticed the time. "Sorry I have to leave."
"Afraid you might lose because you can't get over my monster?" Dirk said with a wide smile on his face.
"No, well actually yes. However that's not the point. We'll be arriving shortly, and I doubt people want to see me wearing this." He gestured to his outfit.
Dirk sighed. "For once you're right. Go, you might still have enough time to fix everything." He said in a playful tone.

About 20 minutes later 2 men were standing on the ship, both wearing suits. As the wind was blowing rather strongly they were looking at the harbor which was getting closer and closer. "You ready for this Anthony?" Dirk asked. Anthony nodded, if one were to compare how he looked before and now no one would believe it was the same person. His hair was neatly combed, he wore a well tailored suit which made him look taller and bigger than he actually was. He sighed. "I hope people will show up and don't think it's some sort of prank."
"Don't you worry about that." Dirk exclaimed. "We've got perfectly credible financial backers who surely have promoted the hell out of this school." A security guard came running towards them. "Mister Deon, mister Bobson, please come inside for your own safety we're about to dock." With that they walked inside and waited until the docking was complete.

About 15 minutes later a small desk was put next to the entrance to the ship where Anthony sat and Dirk was inspecting everything on the ship hoping everything was in order.

The teacher was slowly getting tired of all the continous duels he was having so the platform went down and he stepped off. Only for him to be replaced by another teacher, a female this time. She had short brown hair and wore jeans with the academy jacket over it. She stood on the platform and it went up only for her to wait for her first testee.
Caspar saw the replacement tester enter the platform "hmm another one?". Caspar was pretty confident after his win against the little brat Yayoi. Caspar entered the dueling ring, and prepared for his duel. "Alright im ready!"
"Okay then, You can have the first turn. Now show me how you duel." She said in a rather happy tone.
"alrighty, draw" Caspar carefully looked through his hand "hmm decent" he mumbled. "alright! I will play the Red medicine magic card to gain 500 life points! Then i will set a monster on the field along with a trap card!"
"Okay then, it's my turn. Also a tip, don't say that you set a trap card. Especially if your opponent knows your deck inside and out." She said with a smile on her face. "Draw!" She looked at her hand. She hated having to us this deck but it had to be done. "Well then I think i'll follow your example and set a monster on the field. Now I activate the thunder dragon in my hand, discarding it to add 2 more copies of itself from my deck to my hand. With that I think I'll end my turn."
"alright then draw!. "hmm she has 2 thunder dragons in her hand, better watch out for those" Capsar mumbled "alright ill set a monster on the field and end my turn!" Caspar said with a grin on his face.
"Huh, a rather uneventful turn. Let's see if I can change that this turn. DRAW!" She looked at her hand and she decided to take a small risk. I tribute my face-down monster to set a monster on my field and end my turn.
"Draw! Ugh nothing good, alright i will set a monster and end my turn" Caspars face grew a little more nervous then before.
"Well the, I do believe it's my turn again. DRAW!" She looked at the card she had drawn and had a fun idea. "I set a field spell card" After that I normal summon Mega Thunderball. Do you want to activate your trap now?" She asked him mockingly.
Caspar knew she was trying to get his trap of the field. "Hmm i wouldnt waste it on a monster with a weak 750 attack points!"
"Weak monsters grow up quickly." She said as she pulled a card from her hand. "I activate electro whip giving my thunder ball 300 extra attack and defense points. Raising it to 1050 attack points. Now Thunderball attack his face-down monster! With this I'll end my turn."
"Thats all you got! Draw! Alright i will play the De-spell Magic card to destory your electro whip! And then i will normal summon my Takuhee, now i will attack your thunderball with my Bird and end my turn!"
"The fun part about making weak monsters stronger is the fact that you don't lose a good monster if your opponent goes over it. My turn, Draw!" She smiled this was the card she wanted to draw it would give her quite an edge in this duel. "I normal summon Thunder Kid in attack mode. I assume you won't use your trap card again"
"Wrong! I will activate Horn of heavens! with this is will tribute one of my face down monsters to destroy your thunder kid! Now since my face-down monster was Witch of the black forest! I will now search a monster with 1500 or less defense points from my deck! I will add the magnificent the harpie lady to my hand!"
"Uh, oh. That can't be good." The tester exclaimed but looked at her hand, is was her only play now and even her best one. "I flip summon my tribute set monster. Come Forth Ocubeam, now from my hand I activate the field spell card Umi, giving all my thunder monsters 200 attack and defense. Now Ocubeam attack his Takuhee! I think I'll end my turn with that."
"No! ughh i didnt need the monster anyways. Draw! Ah perfect now i will tribute my facedown monster to summon my one and only Monsterous Bird! Now i will attack your Ocubeam wiht my Bird! Now i will set a card in my spell and trap zone and end my turn"
"Well there goes my Ocubeam. Let's hope I can come back from this." She sighed. "Anyway, my turn. DRAW!" She started to laugh almost uncontrolably "Kid, I gotta say this duel has been very fun and exciting for me but I think our little game ends here."
"hmm?!? What are you talking about if you think you can beat me then prove it!"
She took the card she had just drawn and never put in her hand and put it on the field. "I activate polymerization. Fusing the two Thunder dragons in my hand into the Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon!"
" not this... Ugh i wont lose!"
"Thanks to my field spell my monster gains 200 more attack points putting it on a grand total of 3000 attack points the same as the powerful Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Now my Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon zap his bird out of the sky with Horn Discharge!"
"1000 points! Thats nothing compared to what your about to take!" Caspar knew she has the lead on him with her powerful monster " I just need one lucky draw and then i will have a chance.."
"Well then, I think I'll end the turn for now. Now show me the power of your draws!"
"nooo! aghhh nothing, alright i will set a monster facedown and end my turn! Caspar grew more and more nervous.
"Well then I'll take the turn and see if I can inflict some damage on you this turn. Draw!" She looked at the card with a rather dissappointing look. "Luckily for you it's a spell card which I set on the field and now my twin-headed attacks your face-down monster! Your turn."
"so much for inflicting damage! Alright i need something good. Draw! Aghh nothing..again... Alright i will set yet another card on the field and end my turn!"
"Let's try that again shall we? Draw! Ah! Much better. I summon Mega Thunder ball who will also gain a 200 boost from the field spell. Now my thunder dragon attacks your face-down monster and thunderball attacks you directly. Your turn again, show me what you can do. At least try to damage my life points a bit."
"ughh i cant keep losing. Alright third times a charm, DRAW! Hmm im going to need for then this if i want to win, alright i will play the Mountains field spell! Destroying your Umi now i will summon the Harpie lady and equip it with my Cyber shield! Now it has 2000 attack points! With that i will end my turn!"
"Now THIS is what I'm talking about. Keep Going kid. Try to drive me in a corner!" She smiled this was a good duel and hoped the student would push her even harder, finally someone with potentional to do some real dueling "My turn. DRAW!" She looked at the card she drew, it was a good one but not in this situation. "I'll just attack with my thunder dragon who still has a boost because of your mountain field spell and attack your harpie lady. Horn Discharge! Now it's your turn"
"alright. Draw! Ugh what is up with all these bad draws" Caspar mumbled to himself "alright i will play the sparks magic card to dish out 200 points of damage! Now i will set a monster and end my turn!"
"Okay then, DRAW! Huh another spell card seems like you're lucky once again. I'll set it for now and attack your face-down monster and end my turn afterwards."
"alright! Draw! Aww come on this isnt even fair anymore, ill set a monster facedown and end my turn yet again"
"I'll draw a card then. I normal summon my Electric Lizard in attack position and attack your face-down monster!
"not so fast! My Tyhone has 1400 defense points which means you will take damage!"
Looking at her face-down cards she smiles. "Yes, seems like I will take 650 damage. Nice wall monster."
"Draw! Im just about to give up with these bad draws... The end is nearing and i have to something before its to late...I end my turn"
"Seems like you're having trouble drawing something of use, that indeed is the correct play sometimes to not do anything. My turn DRAW! You're really lucky, you know that. Another spell card. Both my monsters will attack you directly and then I'll end my turn."
"No this cant happen.. I cant lose... Draw! NOOO not again! Nothing once again. GO ahead and win, i end my turn *sigh* i didnt even get to summon any of my ace monsters..."
"Well then don't mind if I end this turn. DRAW! You didn't get to summon your Ace monster, but I do! I tribute both my monsters to summon Sanga the thunder, now finish this duel and attack him directly! Well played Kid." She said in the same happy voice she had when she started the duel.
"Great.. i lost, 13 draws and absolutely nothing...yah great duel whatever.." Capsar left the duel arena angry by being somewhat close and not being able to make any good plays

Anwen looked up at the duel arena in front of her. It was her time to shine. Letting out a sigh to calm her nerves, she pulls out a lollipop and sticks it in her mouth. She begins to walk up to the arena, walking to where she is suppose to go. Anwen looks at the person in front of her, staring down her opponent. Smirking and leaning on one leg, she puts her deck down on the playing area and begins to speak.
"I am ready. Let's get this over with aye?" she exclaims, flipping her hair and winking at her opponent.
"Didn't expect to see another girl here so soon." The teacher exlcaimed as the male to female ratio was very small. "Well then, I'll take the first turn draw! Interesting hand is this, I think I'll set a monster and end my turn for now."
Anwen looks at the set monster in front of her, admiring the hologram of the set card in front of her. She then regains her composure and prepares for battle. "I draw!" she yells with excitment, as this marks the start of her first duel as a duelist. She then looks up and throws two spells on the field. "I activate sparks and hinotama, to burn you for 700 points of damage!" she then smirks and looks up. "I then bring out mushroom man #2 in attack mode and attack your face-down monster!"
"A quick start huh. Well done, now let's see how you follow up on it." The teacher said with a glint of excitement in her eyes. "Haha! My monster is barely stronger by 50 points, nice try though."
"Darn, alright then." Anwen mumbles, examining her hand. "I will set 1 card and end my turn"
"My turn then. Draw, c'mon let it be a good one! It's a good one indeed but I'll keep it in my hand for now. I set another monster and end my turn."
Anwen looks at the field and thinks to herself. 'He must not be able to take out mushroom man...this is good...' she thinks to herself before coming up with a strategy. "Alright, its my turn. I draw!" she says, drawing her card and shuffling her hand. She then takes damage from mushroom man's ability, making her grimace before looking at her hand again. "Alright, its your turn buddy. Go Jinzo 7!" she screams with excitement before summoning her monster. "Time for my battle phase! with his effect, he can attack you directly!" she says before launching her attack. "Go Jinzo 7!" I then end my turn."
"Well now we're getting somewhere. This is what I've been waiting for someone who dueled this agressively. Now I draw! This'll do Nicely. I normal summon my Jellyfish! Are you fine with that?"
Anwen looks at the field and nods. "Your summon is fine."
"If that's the case my Jellyfish will attack your Jinzo 7 and deal 700 points of damage!" Looking at her hand she decided she will end it here, afterall they're here to test the students not to grind them into the ground. "With that I'll end my turn."
"Hmph, alright. Good move but I won't hold back." she says before drawing and looking at her new card. "I take my 300 points of damage then go to my main phase." Anwen smiles and looks up. "First I activate my spell, Tremendous fire! I deal 500 points to myself to deal 1000 to you! Then I summon my monster, Leghul! I now use my mushroom man #2 to attack your jellyfish and my leghul will attack you directly for 300!" Anwen smirks before ending her turn.
"Okay, now this duel is getting a bit too hot for my likes." The teacher exclaimed as the spell card was played. However for the rest of the turn she just stood there smirking. "Okay, now I can finally cut loose, Draw! This'll do for later! I switch my night lizard from defense to attack mode. Now it attacks your Leghul!
Anwen frowns and puts her leghul in the grave. She was going to be about 450 behind on life points when her turn starts. 'This isnt looking good...' she thinks to herself.
"Now after that I enter my main phase two and activate Fissure destroying your mushroom man #2. With that I'll end it this turn let's see you get back from that."
Anwen sighs and puts a new lollipop in her mouth. "Come on blueberry, give me some luck here..." she mumbles to herself before drawing her card. Anwen thinks and looks at her field. " I set 1 card and I end my turn"
"My turn then, Draw!" She smirked before fully smiling, these decks really loved her didn't they. I attack with my Night lizard in your face-down monster and end my turn."
Anwen looksat her destroyed monster and sighs. "Despite the hardships, I will not falter. It is my draw!" She then looks at her cards and looks at the field. "I activate my equip spel on your Night Lizard! I then set 1 monster and end my turn"
"Hmm... Interesting putting your equip card on my monster. I'm not quite sure why you did that because you'll be taking the piercing damage but okay... Night Lizard attack her face-down monster!
Anwen looks up and raises a finger. "You still take the damage, as the card says specifically that the opponent is dealt piercing damage. The opponent is referring to the person who owns the card, so you take the damage!" she says before re-examining the battlefield once more 'Still doesn't help too much though...' she ponders to herself
"UGH, I forgot about that. I'm so stupid sometimes." She said outloud as she saw her life points fall down. "Then for my next move I'll set a card and end my turn.
Anwen looks at the field, worried about that set card. "Alright, my draw!" she says before making her move. "I set one card and end my turn"
"My turn then, DRAW! NICE! I summon Water magician from my hand. Since I want to do the maximum amount of damage to you I have no choice but to attack with Night Lizard again. NOW my water magician attack her directly! With that I end my turn"
Anwen begins to sweat lightly, realizing she is in a bad position. "Alright. The duel is never over until its over. With that said, I draw!" she says before looking at the one card in her hand. "I set one card and end my turn"
"It's my turn then. Draw! The teacher looked at the cards in her hand and on the field and did the math, she was just short of finishing off her opponent, if only she could summon a monster with a lot of attack. "I equip the spell card power of Kaishin to my Night Lizard. My Night Lizard and Water Magician attack you directly! After this I'll end my turn."
Anwen sighs and looks at her life points. "If this is the end, then I plan to try and go out with a bang. With that I draw!" she then looks at her card. "I set one card and end my turn"
The teacher sighed dissappointingly before reluctantly saying "Night Lizard end this duel."
Anwen sighs as her life points reach zero. "Almost broke half....darn..." she says before eating her lollipop and putting the stick in her pocket. "Good game teacher
"Good game."

The teacher stood there and saw her previous testee going down from the duel ring and took a deep breath, that kid was very close to getting there but got a lot of bad luck in the end. With her playstyle she gladly would've given her the highest possible dorm she could've gotten into.
Kohl approached the Dueling Ring and went over his deck one last time. It was time for him to be tested into a dorm, and he decided that he wouldn't hold back. His tester was on the opposite side and he knows that this won't be easy, but as long as he is dueling he has no regrets.
"Well then I'll take the first turn! Draw!" The teacher said still a bit distracted because of her previous duel. "Hmm..." She hummed as she looked at her hand, it wasn't a good one but she could work with it. "I set a monster and end my turn."
"My turn. I draw." Kohl looked at his hand carefully. It was not the greatest of hands, but he could make some plays with it. "I'll set a monster and set one card face-down. That ends my turn."
"Hmm... Interesting. Draw. First I activate my spell card. Stop Defense putting your monster into attack position. Exactly the card I had expected, Now I flip summon my monster King Fog. Got a responce to that?" The teacher was now completely focussed as if she was in a real duel and almost forgot entirely about this being a test.
"I have no responce. Go ahead with your plays." Kohl said with a blank stare.
"I attack your Forgiving Maiden with my King Fog."
The Forgiving Maiden was struck by lightning from King Fog. Kohl stood and watched the hologrpahic visuals of the monsters attacking. After watching his monster go to the grave, he took a good look at the monster. He was planning his next move once it was his turn.
"Next I set a monster from my hand and with that I'll end my turn."
"My turn. I draw." His hand still has options and there were plenty of options to choose from. "I summon Hoshiningen in attack mode! With Hoshiningens effect your King Fog's attack points go down to 600 while mine rises by 500. Now Hoshingen attack King Fog with Star Radiance."
"That's not all. In my Main Phase 2, I activate Share The Pain! I tribute my Hoshiningen forcing you to tribute your set monster."
"Fine by me I'll just send my mystic tomato to the graveyard, at least now I don't have to worry about your set card or your monster being in the way next turn.
"Thats also fine by me. Mystic Tomato could have been a problem if I attacked into it. For now I"ll end my turn."
"Draw!" The card she drew was put in her hand and she shuffled it. "Now I summon Lady of Faith in attack position and attack you directly." After inspecting her hand for a second time she gestured at her opponent that it was his turn.
"My turn once more. I draw." Kohl drew a card and added it to his hand. The duel is still far from over and he was enjoying it. "I summon Shining Friendship in attack mode and attack Lady of Faith!"
"I end my turn."
"Draw!" She smirked, her true nature was showing now. "I think I'll take a page from your book. I normal summon Witch's apprentice which does the opposite of your Hoshinigen. It boosts the attack of Dark monsters by 500 and Lowers the Attack of Light monsters by 400 points allowing it to attack over your monster. Now my apprentice attack the shining friendship with Simple Curse! With that I'll end my turn for now."
"Draw." The duel so far is becoming a back and forth battle between two monsters. Kohl decides that the only way to defeat Witch's apprentice is to enhance his monster's strength. "I summon another Hoshiningen from my hand, and I"ll equip it with Horn of The Unicorn! Giving it 700 attack! Both of our monsters effects run parallel to each other. Which means Witch's apprentice now has 650 attack while my Hoshiningen has 1300 attack with Horn of the Unicorn equipped.  Now Hoshinengen attacks Witch's Apprentice."
"I end my turn once more."
"Well then, I'll try to whip up a storm in my turn DRAW! I normal summon Lord of the Lamp and activate share the pain causing us both to tribute a monster on the field."
"That's fine by me. Horn of the Unicorn returns to the top of my deck."
"I've got no worries about that. I end my turn."
"Draw." With Horn of The Unicorn back in his hand Kohl had to think carefully about his next plan. His tester's field is wide open, but if he acts carelessly it could cost him. " I set a monster and end my turn."
"It's my turn then. I draw! I think I'll follow your play and also set a monster on my field and end my turn."
"My turn. I draw a card." Kohl stares at his cards intently and decides on a plan. "I flip summon skelengel and activate it's flip effect. I draw another card. My turn isn't over yet as I summon Goddess with the Third Eye in attack mode and equip it with Horn of The Unicorn! Now I'll use Goddess to attack your set card."
"Skelengel attacks you directly."
"I'll set a card face-down and end my turn."
"I'll set another monster on my field and end my turn for now."
"All right then. My turn." Kohl's field was getting bigger meaning he could gain field advantage pretty soon, but he is still wary that his opponent could potentially change things around. "I summon Man Eater in attack mode! Then I"ll attack your face-down with Goddess. Then the other two attack as well!"
"That ends my turn once again."
"My turn it is,DRAW! I activate fissure from my hand destroying your man-eater. After that I'll set a card face-down and end my turn.
"My turn. Time for another card! Kohl felt a bit reassured, but he now had the face-down to worry about. Is it a trap or a bluff? After some thinking he decided to make his move. "I summon Tenderness in attack mode!" "Next I"ll attack you directly with all three of my monsters!"
"Then I'll set a card and end my turn."
"It's my turn. DRAW!" She laughed and put her cards down. "Well played. You've won." she said as she passed the turn to him.
"Thank you for the compliment. It was a very enjoyable duel. It's always fun for me whenever I play Duel Monsters. Thanks for the nice time. I'll finish it then as Tenderness attacks you directly!"
"Yup, that's the end. Well done." She said as her platform lowered, she was way too focussed on this duel she could've made such better plays if she had just played casually it was clear she needed a break so she switched with another teacher.
Kohl left the Duel Arena feeling satisifed with himself. Not just because he won the duel, but because it was an enjoyable one. He decided that he would go take a nap on a bench or somewhere and left the Arena.

The new teacher came up on the duel ring, all the dueling he had seen from the students had been very promising so he was eager to duel them himself.
Morgan stared blankly across the ring at the other examiner. He didn't look very talkative.
"Uhm, hello? I guess I'll go first." She drew five cards and stared at them. Knowing this deck wasn't exactly her flight of fancy, she still had no idea what to do and was definetly not expecting to win, considering that everyone else had lost. Yet somehow she sill wanted to try.
"Alright, I'll summon Ancient Elf in attack mode, and equip this to it, the Book of Secret Arts." She did said things.
"Your turn."
"We'll then haven't you started out strong. I guess I'd better step up my game then. Draw! Well, there isn't a lot I can do during this turn so I'll just set a monster and end my turn."
"Thanks?" Morgan knit her eyebrows and smiled in a quizzical way. She tended to do that a lot.
In truth, she was extremely tripped out looking at the display. It was interesting watching it, but even more interesting playing on it. She could see the Ancient Elf standing across from her with a spellbook in its hand. So what to do next...it could easily be a trap, but oh well. YOLO became a thing for a reason, right?
"Alright, next I'll summon Tainted Wisdom." She placed another card on the field in attack position, and a large brain popped on the field, floating in mid air with multiple worm-like things that resembled parasites coming out of it. Creepy.
"Time to see what you're hiding, I'll attack with Tainted Wisdom."
"It's my Sangan, it allows me to add a monster with 1500 attack or less to my hand. The card I chose is my Witch of the Black Forest!"
"Oh, boy..." Morgan had remembrered things she had heard about those two cards. They were rather dangerous when combined. Her chances of winning just slipped even more, but hey, at least she had an open attack.
"Ancient Elf's turn. Nail him." The elf attacked.
"Alright, I'll place a facedown and end my turn there."
"Now this is where your REAL test is going to start. DRAW! Here we go. I normal summon Witch of the Black Forest."
"Whoa, hold up a sec, just realized I can do this." Morgan flipped the card she had placed face down face-up.
"It's called Ready for Intercepting and I'm using it on your Witch."
"Very nice. However I did not summon her to attack you with it. I did it to fusion summon with her. Polymerization GO! I fuse my Witch of the Black Forest from my field and my Lady of Faith from my hand into the Musician King!" With the strum on his guitair the monster appeared. "Now because Witch of the Black Forest is send from the field to the graveyard I can add 1 monster with 1500 defense or less from my deck to my hand. I chose my Masked Sorcerer! Now my Musician King attacks your Tainted Wisdom! I'll end my turn with that."
Morgan blinked. She swore that Fusion monster hadn't been there one turn ago. Her suspicions had been confirmed; she was going to lose this duel. That moved had rather overwhelmed her.
"Umm...I think I'll do this...summoning Dryad in attack mode." Another elf-like creature appeared on the field.
"Sorry, Ancient Elf, I need you to take one for the team and attack him." The elf attack the musician, and since they had the same attack points they should both be destroyed.
"You've dealt with it splendidly. If this keeps up I might lose the duel." The teacher said in a warm tone while smiling.
Morgan blinked. She wasn't used to being praised, she looked down and smiled.
"Heh...thanks. Dryad, attack directly now. After that I'll end my turn."
"Okay then, My turn. DRAW! C'mon let it be a good one. Well I can't deny that it indeed is a good one but not at this time. I think I'll just set a card and end my turn."
Morgan sighed and drew her card. "Alright, I'll set a monster this time." She did so.
"Now I'll have Dryad attack again."
"Sadly that seems to be my masked sorcerer and since it has more defense than your Dryad's attack points you'll be taking 200 points of damage. Because of that Masked Sorcerer's effect activates allowing me to draw a card!"
"Oh, alright." Morgan's life points dropped to 7300. "Guess I'll end my turn then."
"My turn! DRAW! Let's see what can I do with these cards. Not much it seems. I think I'll summon another Lady of Faith then and attack your face-down monster!"
"Meet Magician of Faith. Its flip effect lets me grab a spell card back from the grave, so its destruction isn't in vain." Morgan pulled The Book of Secret Arts back from the grave as Magician of Faith faded out.
"I think I'll end my turn there. Not much I can do from here."
"Alright, I'll set another monster." Morgan did so.
"Next I'll reactivate The Book of Secret Arts and put it on Dryad." The book reappeared, this time in the hands of the forest creature.
"And now Dryad'll nail your Lady of Faith. With that I end my turn."
The teacher looked at his hand and the field and chuckled. "Well, seems like I'm in a pickle aren't I. Let's see if we can turn that around this turn DRAW! With that card we most certainly can. However first I activate my Red Medicine to give myself 500 more Life points. Now I normal summon my Witch's apprentice who will boost the attack of all dark monsters by 500 points. Now my witch will attack your face-down monster.
"Sorry sir, but you're gonna need a bigger attack than that to best Saggi the Dark Clown."
"Ah well, at least I tried didn't I?" Now then I'll set a card and end my turn for now."
Morgan's eye twitched. The facedown card scared her. Thankfully, she'd just drawn a card that could help her with that problem.
"I'll activate De-Spell."
"Well there goes my negate attack." The teacher said with a dissappointing look.
Morgan smiled, pleased that she had unraveled a spell card. "Next I'll summon White Magical Hat." A man with a white had appeared on the field next to Saggi.
"Don't forget it loses 400 attack because of my witch's effect."
"Ah, right, there's that. I'll attack with Dryad now to hit your Witch's Apprentice."
"Oh you're summoning it in face-up defense position? Smart choice!"
"Oh, uh, thank you..." Morgan rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "I'll end my turn now."
"C'mon deck gimme something good! DRAW! "Now THIS is what I like to see." The teacher said as he drew his card and shuffled his hand afterwards. I set a monster and 2 face-downs. Your turn."
"Okay...let's see..." The secrecy of the cards wasn't very comforting, especially since he had looked plased. Morgan decided that winging it might not be the best strategy, but what else could she do?
"Now that your Witch is gone, I can switch White Magical Hat to attack mode." The well-dressed man stood from his kneeling position.
"I guess I'll go with attack the thing that I remotely know first. Dryad, attack the Masked Sorcerer." Morgan knew full well that there was a high chance of there being a trap, but she had no other options.
The teacher just stood there with a stoic face, not reacting to the attack in any way shape or form and soon the masked sorcerer was nothing more than  a shattered hologram.
"And next, here comes the risk to take. White Magical Hat, let's find out what he's hiding."
"I'm sorry, that seems to be a mystic tomato with 1100 defense points, more than enough to withstand the attack of your white magical hat.
Morgan lost 100 more life points. "I guess I'll end my turn."
"Okay then, my turn. DRAW! Now would you look at that, a card I can actually USE for once." The teacher exclaimed a bit too loud and with a small hint of sarcasm in his voice. "I tribute my little tomato to summon a daemon from hell itself, Come forth Neck Hunter and reap the head of Dryad!"
Morgan watched, stunned, as her monster was destroyed. "Well...that was fast."
"With that I'll end my turn for now."
"Okay..." Morgan stood still for a minute. That had been rather nerve-wracking. She'd only had these monsters for a few hours and she was already starting to grow attached to them.
"I'll switch White Hat back to defense mode, and I'll put another monster facedown. Your turn."
"Seems like I can finally go on the offensive. Draw!" He knew that he could take out either monster with the cards he had currently on the field and in his hand so he decided to take a gamble. "I summon my own white magical hat." After that he thought it plan through one more time and decided he had no other choice. "My Neck hunter attacks your saggi the dark clown and my White magical hats attacks your face-down monster!" The plan had worked. Now I'll end my turn. Your turn."
Morgan drew her next card.
"I sacrifice White Magical Hat. My White Magical Hat." The monster disappeared from the field in a glittery display. In its place was a monster in face down defense position.
"Your turn."
"My turn it is. DRAW!" After thinking for a while the teacher had decided. "I summon Trail of Nightmare and attack your face-down card with my neck hunter! Reaper's scythe!
Morgan's eyes were hidden from view, but her lips formed a smirk.
"Just a little short, sir. I reveal my monster, Invitation to a Dark Sleep. Wow, that's a long name." The monster flipped face up, revealing a hooded figure with one...or three eyes.
"Hmm. You fooled me, I was sure that if you had one of those you'd normal summon it to block my Neck Hunter from attacking. Ah well those things happen. I guess I'll have to end my turn for now."
Morgan blinked. Would that have been a better move? She wasn't sure, but she was going to have to live with the descision.
"I'll summon The Illusory Gentleman." A mysterious looking figure appeard on the field.
"Now he'll attack your White Hat. After that I'll end my turn."
"Okay then, My turn DRAW! Remember the card I drew near the beginning of our duel, which I said would be useful later?" He asked her in a rather calm tone.
"You mean you still haven't used it yet?" She squeaked.
"That's right. I'm going to use it RIIIIGHT NOW! I tribute both of my monsters to tribute summon one of the parts of the gate guardian. Come Forth! Kazejin! Now my Kazejin will attack your Illusionary Gentleman and inflict 900 damage to you!" He smiled it was the first time he had commanded such a rare and powerful card. "With that it's your turn."
Morgan was stunned once more. She had never expected to win, but she didn't want to go down without a fight. Then again, she didn't have much of an advantage at the present moment.
"I think I'll just pass, your turn."
"Okay then DRAW! Guess who makes it's return?" He asked as he put down the card he just drew Masked Sorcerer. "I think he'll be more useful now that he was when I was using it as a wall!" He said as he laughed and attack with his monsters before ending his turn.
Morgan had been pushed into a defensive state. "I...I'll set this card and end my turn."
"I'll draw a card then. Next I'll summon another Mystic tomato which will attack your face-down monster!" Upon seeing a successfull attack the other two monsters were also ordered to attack the opponent "Shame, the card I drew wasn't overly useful. Ah well, Your turn."
Morgan drew her next card and sighed. That was it.
"Well, I might be losing this duel, but I don't want to go down without a fight. Time to bring back two cards from before. I'll summon Tainted Wisdom." The brain from before appeared again, or rather its clone.
"And next I'll equip it with another book of Secret Arts." The brain on the field grew slightly larger. Still creepy, but Morgan didn't care as much.
"Tainted Wisdom, nail that Masked Sorcerer."
After the Sorcerer was destroyed, Morgan imagined herself with outstretched arms, accepting defeat in the most awesome way possible.
"I end my turn."
"Draw! There is the card I have been waiting for Fissure! Now with your monster out of the way my Kazejin will blow away the remainder of your life points."
Morgan coughed as her life points drained. "Uhm...Good game, sir. I learned a lot."

The teacher stood there looking at her and smiled. "I'll let you decide who goes first."
Alexis grinned "Okay! I'll go first then" Alexis looked down at her hand, viewing it "I'll start by setting a monster in face down defense mode, then I will set one card face down, and end my turn"
"Well then, My turn. I seriously hope I'll draw something good this turn." He said in a very joking tone but this was serious he NEEDED to draw a monster otherwise this test might end badly. Looking at the card he drew he decided it'll do. "I normal summon Wattkid in attack mode! Now I equip my little kid with a whip coated with Electricity and attack your face-down monster!
Alexis eyes widen "That boosts up Wattkid to 1300!" Alexis smiled afterwards "Sounds good to me, you revealed my monster, Giant Rat! and he has more defence then Wattkid's attack, so you lose 150 life points"
"Yup, seems like it. Ah well, nothing I can do about it for now. Then I'll set 2 cards and end my turn."
Alexis smiled "Okay then, I'll draw!" She looks at the card and smiles "Okay that works!" she said before looking at her field. "I'll switch Giant Rat into attack mode, now giant Rat, attack Wattkid!"
"Unfortunately you seem to not have payed much attention to the surroundings because my Wattkid suddenly got-" He flips one of the backrow cards over. "-Reinforcements, giving my Wattkid 500 more attack and more than enough to wipe out your Giant rat."
Alexis eyes's widened "Oh no! but that means my Giant Rat is destroyed!"
"Exactly! While it'll allow to summon an monster from your deck it'll be weaker than the powered up Wattkid I have on the field."
"Okay then, I'll get from my deck...I will bring out the powererful Kuwagata!" she looked at her hand and grinned "And now I will equip Kuwagata with Laser Cannon Armor!" bring its attack to 1550! and now, I will end my turn"
"My turn then. DRAW!" The teacher was shocked he hadn't expected to see this card here, but ah well. I'd make a nice last resort for the test. "Now it's time to activate the most powerful magic card in my deck! I activate Makui, the Magical Mist. By giving up my ability to attack this turn, This card will destroy all monsters on your side of the field with a defense equal or lower than my Wattkid, which is 1300 and so is the defense of your powered up Kuwagata! Now my Kid zap his bug into dust! Devil's mist!"
Alexis's eyes widened "No! my Kuwagata a! darn it!" she said, looking at her hand trying to come up with a plan B.
"As I said before because of Makui I can not attack this turn. So I'll end my turn here. It's your turn now!"
Alexis draws her card and glances "Okay..I can use this..I'll set a monster face down in defense mode, and set a card face down to end my turn"
"My turn then. Draw! I think I'll follow your example and set a monster on the field and now I'll attack with my wattkid! After that I'll end my turn."
Alexis frowned as her monster was destroyed "Okay then...don't fail me now deck...I draw! Now I set a monster face down and end my turn"
"I'll draw a card then, hmm... I'll keep this for later. Now I'll flip summon my immortal of thunder who will grant me 3000 life points. Now I'll attack your face-down monster with my immortal of thunder"
"My Electric lizard! but im sure you know the Electric lizards special effect, when it is attacked by a non zombie monster, that monster cannot attack next turn!"
"That's a shame. At least my Wattkid can attack you directly! Then you can have your turn."
"Okay...I need a good draw, deck I need you!" she said, drawing her card "I'll set a monster in face down defense position and end my turn"
"Draw! Another thing for later. Well then Wattkid attacks your monster and after that it's your turn.."
Alexis closes her eyes "Please...don't let me down!" she drew the card, her eyes lighting up before she looked to the teacher "I end my turn without doing anything"
"I'll draw a card then. C'mon deck something I can use! Well, I can use it however I'll wait on using it. Both my monsters attack you directly and then I'll end my turn."
"Okay...now please, help me!" she said as she drew, frowning as she saw it "I'll set a monster in face down defense position and activate the magic card Red Medicine! I gain 500 life points with this, and with that I'll end my turn"
"I hope those lifepoints will serve you well. DRAW! I summon a second wattkid! Now my immortal of thunder attacks your monster. Hmm... a Big Insect huh. Well then I guess I'll have to stop my attacks for now and end my turn."
Alexis smiles "Thats right, now, I'll draw!" looking at the card she smiles "I activate the magic card, de-spell! and I'll use it on your facedown to see what it is!" Alexis smiled "Now that I know im safe...I will tribute my big insect! in order to bring out, the powerful Dungeon Worm!" Alexis smiled "Now! Dungeon worm, attack the Immortal of the Thunder!"
"Well then I'll take 5300 damage, 300 because of the attack and the 5000 from the effect of the immortal of thunder. It's a strong monster but at the same time a double edged sword."
Alexis eyes lit up "Woohoo! that was awesome!" she looked to her deck "Thanks...but we aren't out of the woods yet, lets finish this, I will end my turn"
"Well then It's time to show you what this little bad boy can do. Draw!" While the card he drew didn't matter it was dissappointing he drew that card. "I summon from my hand the 7 Coloured Fish! Now my fish take out it's worm by sacrificing yourself, Rainbow Splash!"
"No my worm! what am I gonna do..." she said, looking at her hand, nervousness filling her.
"Now my other monsters attack you directly and with that I'll end my turn."
Alexis took a deep breath and smiled, hand finger on the top pf her deck, about to draw "Its not over yet! I refuse to give up! I draw!" Alexis eyes lit up "Oh my...I activate the field spell! forest! Now I summon KamaKiriman in attack mode! and with forest, its attack raises to 1350, enough to destroy your Wattkid! now attack Kamakiriman! destroy his wattkid with the Electro-whip!"
"There goes a very good monster who has served it's purpose. Got anything else?" The tested said in a tone between mocking and excitement.
Alexis smiled "For this turn, I am done, I end my turn"
"Okay then, Draw!" His eyes windened he could try to test this person a bit more but if he did so he might end up losing the duel. However this was just a test so it had to be done. He put the card he had just drawn on the field. "I normal summon a second immortal of thunder in attack position. Now it'll attack your Kamakiriman! Now thunder kid will attack you directly and with that I'll end my turn."
Alexis winced wathcing as her mosnter was destroyed "Oh no...if I don't pull something off...its over...I believe in you deck...I draw!...Okay, I summon Kumootoko in defense mode! and with that I'll end my turn"
"Hm... a wall monster. C'mon deck give me something I can use! Draw! Not the card I expected but it'll do. I set a card and end my turn.
Alexis's eyes widened "I survived the turn, its not over! I draw!" Alexis looked at the card and set it down "I place one card face down, and end my turn"
"Draw! Hmm... my draws are getting rather sloppy seems like I'll have to shuffle my deck a bit. I activate the effect on my thunder dragon in my hand discarding it to add another thunder dragon from my deck to my hand. He smiled, he had decided. "I'll end my turn. However beware with my next draw I WILL finish this duel."
Alexis took a deep breath "Okay then! this draw will decide the fate of this duel! Don't let me down, I draw!" She saw the card and smiled "Well..this is the best I got! I summon Cocoon of Evolution in defense mode! now I activate Share the Pain!! I will tribute my kumootoko! and make you tribute immortal of the thunder!"
"Sorry to say, but I get to decide what monster I tribute with share the pain and I chose to tribute my wattkid."
Alexis's eyes widened "Oh no!....that was my only chance.....I end my turn"
"Okay then, my turn DRAW! Time to flood this field I activate the field spell card Umi! This will wipe out your forest and give 200 point boost to all my thunder monsters. Next I'm flipping over my face-down card Polymerization to fuse the two Thunder Dragons in my hand into Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon which is more than strong enough to take out your Cocoon. Now my Immortal of Thunder can attack you directly to end this duel!"
Alexis eyes widened "No....Im sorry" she closed her eyes as her cocoon was destroyed and her life points taken down to zero.

Videns and Kohl made their way to the duel arena. They both agreed that Videns would start the duel off. Videns took his position. "Okay, get ready! My turn, Draw!" Vodens said picking up his first card. "Okay, I'll start this duel off by summoning two-mouthed darkruler, then setting a card face down and ending my turn." Videns said quickly moving his cards around before giving a hand gesture to Kohl.

"All right then. My turn I draw a card." Kohl looked at his hand for a bit. Just like his test duel, he has quite a bit of options to choose from. Deciding to play it safe he decided to set a monster. "I set one monster and set one card face-down and end my turn."

"Okay, my turn, I draw. I'll start off by summoning servant of cataclism, and with its effect I shall attack you directly!" Videns said, summoning his monster then ordering an attack. After the attack had finished Videns would say, "Now two-mouthed dsrkruler, attack his Facedown monster!"

"My face-down is Tenderness which has 1400 def. So you take 500 damage." Kohl responded.

"Damn, oh well, I'm still in the lead. With that I end my turn." Videns said once again.

"Once again it's my turn. I draw." Kohl drew another card and planned out his next move accordingly. That face-down card could be a bluff, but then again it could actually be a trap. Sometimes it's better to move forward than backward so Kohl summons a monster. "I summon Ray & Temperature in attack mode! With it's attack power of 1000 I'll destroy your Servant of Catabolism. Go Ray & Temperature, North Wind!"

Videns monster was soon destroyed, leavoning a cloud of dust. He had now taken 300 more damage, now putting him at a disadvantage and one monster down.

"I'll end my turn with that."

"Good! My turn and I draw!" Videns said taking the top card of his deck and putting it in his hand. "I summon, Cannon Soldier in attack mode, and he has far more attack points than your silly sun! And now Cannon Soldier shall attack your sun! Go cannon blaster!"
 Videns commanded, a large beam firing at the sun and destroying it, dealing some damage to his opponent. "And with that, it's your turn again!"

 "My turn again. I draw!" It was time for Kohl to start a counterattack against his opponent's monsters. "I summon Hoshiningen in attack mode. It's special ability increases all light monsters by 500 attack points while decreasing dark monsters attack points by 400. With that I also put Tenderness in attack position. Go Tenderness destroy Cannon Soldier with Touch of Light and Hoshiningen attack Two-Mouth Darkruler with Star Radiance!"
 "Then I'll set one card face-down and end my turn. Back to you."

"Damn it, with one card you turned the whole duel around. Okay, I Draw!" Videns said, hoping for a good card. "  "I'll set a card then end my turn. You're up again" Videns said, passing it over to him again.

"All right then. My turn draw!" Kohl now lead the field advantage in terms of monsters and attack power. It was time to go on the offensive. "I'll summon another Tenderness in attack mode. Next I"ll attack your set face-down with one of my Tenderness monsters!" The face-down monster turned out to be a Blast Sphere. It would destroy his Tenderness the next turn and deal him damage equal to the attack it had when it was destroyed. Regardless he presses on. "Next my other two monsters attack you directly."

Videns winced at the pain made by the opponets monsters. At least he got Blast Sphere off, that would help a little in this one sided duel.

"I'll end my turn with that."

"Alright, my turn and I draw. And I'll repeat my previous turn and set a monsyer then end my turn!" 

"My turn draw." As soon as he drew a card, there was a beeping sound and Blast Sphere exploded along with his Tenderness. Taking 1200 damage made him recoil a bit, but soon he was back on his feet. He pressed on with his attack. "I summon Binding Chain in attack mode! Next I"ll attack your set monsters with Binding Chain." 

"My monster's effect activates! When my princess is flipped, you take 500 poimts of damage for each spell and trap you control! How do ya like that?"

"That's completely fine by me. 1000 damage is quite a bit, but it's no skin off my nose. Next I'll attack with my two remaining monsters. Then I'll end my turn."

Another large chunk of his lifepoints was taken away from him. Videns should really step up his game. "Okay my turn and I draw!" Videns said once again drawing a card. "Sheesh, I'm getting predictable. I'll set another card then end my turn."

"Ok. My turn again. I draw once again!" It was time for Kohl to set up his board with another monster. "I summon Bio-Mage in attack mode. Then I attack your face-down with Bio-Mage. Bio-Sparking!"

 "Hah, your monsters are strong, but not quite as strong as mine! My Giant Soldier of Stone is a real rock and with 2000 defence he isn't gonna be moved easily!" Videns said smirking.
