[TAoB](Mid/High) Journey to the island 1

A man in his late 20s was standing in front of a window of a ship looking at the endless blue ocean in front of him. The man didn't seem very impressive, he wasn't tall or muscular. The colours of the clothes he wore were starting to fade and they looked somewhat stretched. The shirt he was wearing was very light blue, however it was clear it once had a much brighter color which had a print of multiple playing cards. Further more he wore normal jeans and a pair of normal shoes which noses were almost worn out. His light brown hair was messy like he just woke up and didn't bother doing anything about his hair. As the man was looking out of the window, the door behind him swung open with a loud screech. A man in a suit was the one who had opened the door and seemed to be the polar opposite to the one  looking out of the window. He was tall, muscular and and looked like he cared what people thought about him. The suit looked like it was made for this man which made him look even more impressive. His voice echoed throughout the room as he spoke, it was a deep somewhat hoarse voice.
"Hey Anthony, how long do you think you can just stay around here? You know that we'll be arriving shortly, if it weren't for me I'm positive you'd still be on the island."
The man turned around with a carefree smile on his face as if the words didn't phase him and sighed. "I know, I know. You don't have to keep reminding me every time you get the chance Dirk. What were you doing anyway, you also almost missed the boat. That's very unlike you." Anthony replied with a playful tone in his voice his voice was fairly neutral, almost no emotion that he didn't want to could be heard from his tone. Although he sometimes spoke a bit too fast and a syllable was lost, other than that there wasn't anything special about his voice.
"Yeah, that's right. However after noticing that you weren't on the ship 30 minutes before we were going to depart I decided to go looking for you, since knowing you the chance of you missing the boat was high. You might've defeated me in tournaments before, however your behavior outside the tournaments aren't anything but unprofessional." Dirk said with a sharp tone in his voice.
Anthony chuckled nervously "You've got a point there, however how could I stay focused while I was thinking about all the children who will go to this school?" He said with excitement in his voice.
Dirk started to calm down a bit and sighed. "I get where you're coming from, however you should REALLY mind the time." He took a quick glance at his watch. "Hmm. we're not scheduled to arrive for another 30 minutes." As soon as his sentence ended a sly grin appeared on his face and asked "Wanna play?"
"You still gotta ask?" Anthony replied without thinking in a playful tone. "So wanna play for real or just for fun?"
Dirk's grin grew wider. "You still gotta ask?" He said in a similar tone to Anthony.

"Well then, seeing how you challenged me, I'll begin. My turn. Draw! Hmm..." As soon as the duel began Anthony seemed to change, his personality and the vibe he had changed in a snap. From easy-going and lazy to completely focused and serious. "I set a monster and end my turn." Anthony's voice seemed deeper and could easily be heard throughout the entire room, due to the confidence that was behind the voice. He made a simple hand gesture at the end of his turn signifying Dirk could go.
Dirk looked at Anthony to see if he could read a bluff from his face but nothing was showing. "Okay then, my turn. Draw! It's best to have a strong start, and hope you've got nothing there. I normal summon witch's apprentice and activate Yami. My monster now has 1250 attack. Battle phase. My monster attacks your set one."
Anthony flipped the monster and grinned. "Too bad, Armail has 1300 defense. Take 50 damage."
Dirk's face was completely calm however he wasn't. 'A monster with 1300 defense, really?! I would've prefered a mystical elf over that." He sighed. "Well that's everything I can do for now. Your turn."
"Well then." Anthony said with an excited voice. "This is where things get interesting. Draw! I tribute my armail to tribute summon lava battleguard in attack mode."
Dirk's face twitched for a second. "Lava Battleguard huh, that's a pretty good card. Was it your recommendation?"
"Uhuh, anyway Lava Battleguard attacks your witch."
Dirk sighed and put his monster in the graveyard "I take 300 points of damage."
"Well then I think I'll leave it at that for now. Your turn. Let's see if you can draw a card that can combat my Lava Battleguard."
Dirk drew a card. 'Exactly the card I was waiting for.' He set the card he just drew and 2 cards in his spell and trap card zone and passed the turn to Anthony.
"Ah you bastard, you know I don't know these decks by heart." Anthony exclaimed. "Ah well, nothing I can do about it. Draw! Exactly what I needed. I equip legendary sword to my Lava Battleguard which boosts his attack and defense by 300 points and I attack your face down."
Dirk smiled. "Sorry, it's a Mystical Elf and with Yami her defense is 2200, you'll be taking 350 points of damage now."
"Is this your definition in fun, tying the lifepoints with your oppon-" As he started looking back at his cards he'd noticed the time. "Sorry I have to leave."
"Afraid you might lose because you can't get over my monster?" Dirk said with a wide smile on his face.
"No, well actually yes. However that's not the point. We'll be arriving shortly, and I doubt people want to see me wearing this." He gestured to his outfit.
Dirk sighed. "For once you're right. Go, you might still have enough time to fix everything." He said in a playful tone.

About 20 minutes later 2 men were standing on the ship, both wearing suits. As the wind was blowing rather strongly they were looking at the harbor which was getting closer and closer. "You ready for this Anthony?" Dirk asked. Anthony nodded, if one were to compare how he looked before and now no one would believe it was the same person. His hair was neatly combed, he wore a well tailored suit which made him look taller and bigger than he actually was. He sighed. "I hope people will show up and don't think it's some sort of prank."
"Don't you worry about that." Dirk exclaimed. "We've got perfectly credible financial backers who surely have promoted the hell out of this school." A security guard came running towards them. "Mister Deon, mister Bobson, please come inside for your own safety we're about to dock." With that they walked inside and waited until the docking was complete.

About 15 minutes later a small desk was put next to the entrance to the ship where Anthony sat and Dirk was inspecting everything on the ship hoping everything was in order.

Lucius reluctantly follows not as eager to duel this person as he was to duel his earlier opponent "So what's your name anyway?"

"Me! im Caspar Ringsetad the future number one duelist of the academy!" Caspar scanned his ID card "What are you waiting for scan yours to!"

Lucius scanned his card eagerly "You know, your enthusiasm is contagius right?" he smiled "My name is Lucius, nice to meet you"

"It wont be nice when i send you crying home after i destroy you!"

"Big talk, I wonder if you can back it up" he smirked "You ready?"

"haha no big talk just the truth! ill take the first move! Draw! I summon the Harpie lady! ANd with my harpie on the field i will play the Elegent egotist magic card! With this i can special summon my harpie lady sisters! Ive done enough for this turn lets see if you beat that blue will luck or skill! I end my turn"

He smirked "I'll activate 2 sparks from my hand and Set 1 monster card face down, You had a good first turn, Let's see if you can keep it up. I'll end my turn with that."

"If you call that a good first turn then you better prepare yourself for what the rest of my deck has! If your going to beat you will need much more then a couple sparks and face down card! Draw, i normal summon the dark bat monster card! Now i will play the share the pain magic card with this i tribute one one monster, as so will you and you only contorl one monster so say good bye to your facedown! I will set a trap card and attack directly with both my Harpies! With ill end my turn!"

"You realize I'm not scared yet" he laughs nervously "I'll set 1 more card and end once more"

"you should be scared! The duel hasnt even started! Draw, I summon the Birdface monster card to the field! And now i play the Shield and sword magic card! With this all face up monsters on the field's attack and defense are swictched meaning my harpie lady has 1400 and my sisters has 2100! Now i attack your facedown wiht birdface!

"Your Birdface's attack power is much lower than my cocoon" He smiles slightly "Reducing your life points by 400!"

"No problem! I will attack your cocoon with my Sisters! And then attack directly with harpie lady! With that ill end. How does it feel to lose" Caspar laughed.

"The Duel isn't over quite yet" He smiled Hoping this would be enough "I summon Killer Needle in attack mode and equip it with Laser Cannon Armor "


"not so fast! I activate the horn of heavens trap card! With this i can tribute a monster such as my Harpie lady to negate the summon of your killer needle! Looks like you got lucky against that blue you posses no skill at all!"

"Well I'll end my turn"

"Haha Its over! draw! i summon the Niwatori card in attack mode! i now equip follow wind to my sisters! Raising my sisters attack points to 2250! Now i attack directly with all my monsters!" Caspar watched as Lucius's life points dropped.

"Well, Good game I guess" He says as his life points hit zero "I'll see you around Caspar" He walks away from the duel arena

"Haha! good game! you gotta be joking me! That was anything BUT a game!" Caspar walked away laughing hysertically.

Alexis stood on her side "Lets do this Videns, I'll go first, I'll set one card face down and end my turn"

"Hmm okay then, My turn."Videns said drawing a card. He had to be careful, he didnt know much about Alexis or her deck. "I summon Killer needle and attack your face down!" It turned out her face down was giant rat and Videns took some damage. "DAmn it, i set a card then end my turn"

Alexis smiled "I set a monster face down then activate the magic card forest, then I will attack your killer needle! and after that I will end my turn"

"God damn, this is not good. I draw. I set 2 cards then end my turn."

I' summon petit moth in defense mode, then I equip cocoon of evolution! now soon my moth will breka from its cocoon! I attack your face down with rat and end my turn"

"HA, you attacked my b;ast sphere, and on your next turn it shall explode all over your face! I mean... um.. Never mind. My turn, Draw! I summon Cannon soldier, and attack your set monster with it." It turned out the set card was man eater bug and destroyed Videns' soldier. "God damn your deck is annoying. I end my turn after i set this card"

Alexis frowned as her rat was destroyed "I draw and summon big insect", frowning as it was destroyed by trap hole "I end my turn"

"See you're not the only one with annoying ccards, Now I draw! I summon my Mystic lamp and attack you directly with it's effect, then end my turn"

Alexis looked at her hand "I'll set one card face down and end my turn"

"Okay then, my turn, I draw. I summon my ooguchi in attack mode., Now i shall attack you directally with both of them with their effects! Then I'll end my turn."

Alexis grinned "Now I tribute my petit moth in its cocoon and bring out the great moth! now I will attack your mystic lamp, set one card and end my turn.

"Damn that's a strong card, but now it's my turn draw. I attack you directly with oog, then set 2 card and end my turn"

Alexis smiled "I summon cocoon of evolution and attacked your face down" smiling seeing it wasnt blast sphere she attacked with great moth and ended her turn.

"I flip up my set card Dark king of the abyss." Seeing that she activated trap hole he frowned. Damn it. "I end my turn."

Alexis smiled "I'll set one card face down, switch cocoon to defense mode and attack with great moth! then ill end my turn"

Sighing after seing his cards Vudens used them all before admitting defeat. "Good game Alexis. Round two?" He asked

Alexis nodded "Yea sure, Round 2 is a go!"
