Wonderland Chapter 1: [The Crux]

While there is only one known universe there are so many more out there, each one having their own story each one with their own set of "Gods" or people with a higher power. There is though an outside, a place where things die, go to rot, go to never be seen again. This place is called Unbound.

Intro:
You wake up to the burning sun, sand everywhere, you feel horrible. Starting to get your senses back together you start to look around, noticing other's laying on the ground, waking up. There's a palm tree covering up some of the sun but it's not the best. As you stand up you notice clear water everywhere, and towards the north side, land. The land consists of deep rain forest, and almost no shore, as if it just cuts off into ocean. If you look closely you could see some figures moving but it was too dark to tell anything. Towards the south side you see nothing but ocean, the same goes for the east and west.

- TAKE YOUR TIME
- One Liners will not be tolerated and you will be given a strike, 3 strikes is a ban.
- Develop your character. Seriously, don't bullshit
- Make friends
- You don't have to side with one group just because the "plot" is sending you there, there are other characters you are able to interact with, NPC's, Villains, etc.


*Your first post CANT be half assed, meaning if you write some random shit of how you woke up and just go into the Rp it wont be allowed. The intro is supposed to give you a feeling of what the surrounding is like, but you guys haven't woken up yet, you have to wake up your own character.*

Aegan started to crawl out from underneath his Obsidian once again feeling much better and more energetic. He looked around the battlefield and saw that the bandaged woman had about finished off another of the beings. Nox on the other hand seemed to have a harder time with her opponent he wouldn't be able to get there in time but she WAS was close by so maybe...

He send his Agate armor her way but made sure it was made much lighter than the one he was wearing. The armor now only consisted of a less thick chest piece, boots and gloves. "NOX! Present for you!"(8 Energy)

Cylon watched as Declan attacked. The adrenaline in his body began to wear off, and he suddenly felt a sense of remorse. He had never killed another sentient being before -- this was his first time. He felt terrible.

As the battle was raging on Credo was still on the ground. I need to get up. Credo flipped to his belly and looked up at the top of a house. High, ground, i need it to get to high ground to see what going on."At that moment, those where the only thoughts going through Credo's head. As soon as he finished forming his thought, a red orb appeared on top of the the house he was looking at...almost instantly credo found himself on top the the roof falling down the side. With the knife he still had he stabbed it into the side of the roof halting his decent. Credo looked down then got himself back into the top of the roof. Being in high places always calmed him down, he could thank his parkour endeavors. Credo looked at the red orb, and went to touch it. The ball seeped into his skin and he felt rejuvenated. "Now how about i start helping." Credo started to scan his surrounding looking for anyone who needed a hand.

Nox dodged the first arrow and saw it explode behind her. Looking up when Aegan shouted about a present she saw the armor flying towards her and sprinted towards it to reach it faster. She grabbed the armor, dodging and weaving through the arrow fire using the terrain to evade the arrows more effectively. Thinking fast she realized that the armor would be practically useless against the detonations of the arrows. Using a motion symbol she sent the chest piece flying towards the arrows to intercept some of them, causing them to explode, temporarily hiding Nox from the archers view.

Nox's vision faded for a split second before coming back and she hoped that wouldn't cost her. With the explosion still lingering she took off again to try to flank the Archer and get as close as possible before he got his sight on her.

Declan let out a sigh of disappointment as soon as Gurreign had flashed. By the time Gurreign reappeared, Declan had already been in motion, as his body shifted about 90 degrees to the right whilst simultaneously bringing his right leg down to a knee with his left leg sliding down. At this position, he was crouching low enough to where the tiny bullet-sized shot would merely pass a few centimeters over his hood, but what was more advantageous to this position was the motion of his right arm, which held the air blade.

As Declan spun, his air blade went with him in the same position, but curving upwards and to the right which caused the same weather collision as before. The moment Gurreign had fired the blue blast, another tornado had already fired out, giving very little time to react for Gurreign. While all of this went on, Declan was speaking in a simple, bored tone of voice.

"If you're going to dodge a simple move like mine, try not to use the oldest trick in the book by "teleporting" behind me. It makes you look like an amateur. Not that I could tell..." Declan then chuckled to himself and jumped back up after the blue bullet missed and the second tornado was fired. When he landed, he just stood there--not in a particular fighting stance, he literally stood there like he was talking to a normal person.

"Naonidae, return" said Yax, making the sword the Gion had grabbed shake in the Gion's hand. Yax yelled "Purity" while the spear became a sword, and started to run at the Gion... ready to call Naonidae back.

Echo sighed in relief after the victory, swinging the staff out of the Gion and walking back to Aegan. She handed him the weapon back, smiling and nodding to him.

"Thanks for the help. Whatever that thing is, remind me to ask you to use it again some time. It was useful." She laughs gently, giving it to him. Before she did, though, she noticed something about him. Something in his aura was... lacking. The moment the staff left her hands, though, that tiny detail was lost, and his aura was back to as normal could be. She shook it off as her imagination, and her head turned to the battle against the leader, and she watched with a sly smile.

"Let's see how a that lack of vision suits you, Declan."


Nox was now on the outer edge of where the explosion had happened. With the fireball now dissipating she saw that the archer was about 7 meters past the far edge. Nox separated her twinblade, sheathing both blades and opting to use her naginata instead. There were charred skeletal remains of a house nearby which she took cover behind, watching the archer to see what he did next.

Alisae took her 2nd rapier, as she maneuvered her body over to the archer's head, and stuck the rapier into the forehead of the archer, instantly letting go of the archer and teleporting out and farther away. (I got DM perms to auto hit)

Once she got farther away, she scouted the area for her bigger brother, which she found. She then teleported towards him, sending her body flying towards Katz, and would probably glomp him.

"Big Brother!" Alisae cheered as her body was being sent flying towards Katz.

Katz was busy watching Declan's fight, ready to jump in at any time if he needed to, out of the corner of his eye he spotted his sister being sent flying towards him "Oh for fu-" he didnt get to finish his sentence as she glomped into him, knocking him to the ground "Owww....ALisae....get up...."

Alisae continues to snuggle in her big brother's chest for a minute. But then after notcing that Katz was in pain, she places her arms on her big brother's arms and concerningly pulls herself up, but not off of Katz.

"Big Brother, are you okay? You seem like your in pain? Did you get hurt by the pile of rocks? Big Brother! Are you okay? Don't worry, I'll call a hospital in a bit." Alisae conceringly asks.

Declan smiled and took off the Oni mask with his left hand, his eyes staring, blindly, ahead at Gurreign.

"Wasn't trying to hurt you with it. Just wanted to check something..." At that point, Declan put his mask back on and stood his ground, listening at Gurreign's every footstep, as well as the crackling fire. He listened to his surroundings, and while his hearing wasn't fully amplified due to the short duration of his blindness, he could hear the falling of branches and crackling of bark in flames. He began to step back.

At this moment, upon his fifth step backward, Declan spun in a full circle and while he spun, he swung his air blade three times: Once at 90 degrees, once at 180 degrees, and once at 270 degrees, each time firing a small tornado in those directions. Then, he stopped walking altogether and jumped back four times, each time would result in a small stumble from his impaired balance, but he would shake it off and stand anyway. To Gurreign, if he didn't tunnel vision Declan, would notice the sound of louder crackling, and wind falling toward their direction. At the same time, the shadows of trees could be seen growing larger.

"I don't think you need a hospital." Cylon said as he held back his laughter. Chastiefol shifted into a pillow and parked itself next to Cylon. "So Katz, looks like we ain't done yet. Think you can play "level two"?"

"Nope he can't play with you furry fuck. He's mine!" Alisae says, as she pushes herself back onto Katz's body and starts to embrace it, not willing to let herself let go of Katz.

Katz saw the tornado's start to knock down the burning trees and his eyes widened, quickly jumping up he put Alisae on his back and started running away before flying, shouting to Cylon "RUN YOU IDIOT! THE TREES ARE FALLING!

"I meant the next fight. And why the hell do you always have to insult me? I've been nothing but nice to you. What if I felt like talking crap? I'm tired of it." Cylon held back his growl and took a deep breath. For a second, his aura spiked and changed color to a deep red -- almost black, then shifted back to normal. "Sorry. I just hate being disrespected." All while this happened, he flicked his wrists, and Chastiefol took the Guardian form and floated just above him as he ran away from the falling trees. If he wasn't fast enough to escape then Guardian would block any blows and carry the weight.

As soon as the Armor shattered Aegan lost his focus and all the pieces of the armor appeared in front of his feet still looking around he saw that Nox looked just a bit tired after she had used her skills.

Not knowing what to do to help her he saw the bandaged woman coming towards him who handed his staff back the moment he touched it his vision was enhanced once more. He saw everything clearly and could see much father than normal and it was a mystery for him and he started to think. After a few seconds it hit him the power of the Gems, maybe he could amplify the power of the gems in a way so that it had an instant effect. He saw the Agate on the ground and was reminded of something he read somewhere. He focused an image of an staff in his mind made from the Agate.

The pieces of Agate laying on the ground started to swirl around and hit each other after about 10 seconds an agate staff was formed which was hovering in front of Aegan, he grabbed it and focused all his attention on Nox and felt energy leaving his body and a ball of orange light traveled to Nox.

He felt drained and tired, he couldn't keep himself awake anymore and fell to the ground from exhaustion of the previous actions he had done. He fell on the staffs and they slowly but surely started to get absorbed into his body.

Echo had been watching Declan fight, tilting her head back and forth to see past the rubble and keep up with the fight. It was pretty cool, to be sure, but she knew who the victor in the end would probably be. Mind you, the kids weren't helping, but at least they hadn't done anything too stupid yet... nope, Cylon was an idiot. Yup.

During this, though, Echo saw a floating ball of pure energy fly right past her, its target Nox, its source... Aegen? She turned around as the boy passed out, and with a roll of the eyes under her bandages and a sigh, she jogged over to him.

"Fatigue, mostly. You're lucky the rest of the Gion were out for the count..." Echo mumbled to herself, already on her knees as she began to more properly lie him down. She took interest in the gems being slowly absorbed into him for a moment before looking around for some form of bedding. She began to collect nearby leaves and smaller debris - of which there was a lot - until she had a head rest of sorts. After dragging Aegen onto it, she exhaled in relief, hands on hips as she looked down and gave a curt nod. After another quick glance around, she noticed a hole-riddled block of obsidian. With a clap of glee, she plopped down on it, looking down to Aegen as she spoke.

"There. Rest up. The battle will be over soon."

The orb of light hit Nox and she felt slightly rejuvenated, it wasn't much but the sensation was lingering, building up. She glanced over to where the orb came from and saw Echo watching over an unconscious Aegan though she remained where she was to not draw the archers attention.

As Gurreign entered the area directly in front of Declan, the trees that Declan had cut down finally crashed to the ground and caused the ground to shake. Due to this, Declan stumbled from his lack of balance from earlier and would take the punch to the face. However, since he was wearing the Oni mask, damage would be minimal enough to where he would be able to react soon afterward. After stepping back from taking the full-on punch, the mask cracked upon the right side and shattered, revealing the right half of Declan's face.

At the same time, once the punch had connected, Declan had brought both of his hands up, each one holding the two blades, in an X formation that, if they hit, would slice through the softer, cracked parts of the Gion's arm and completely cut it off.

Cylon kept running until he was separated from everyone by a decent margin. He didn't know why, but he just felt like running. Everything up to this point was overwhelming him. He walked up to a large boulder and leaned against it, hugging his knees to himself.

I'm such an idiot. Everyone's out there fighting so skillfully, because they at least know what they're doing. I go out there and act like I do. I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, or why. I barely even know how to use my own weapon. Mom and Dad...they spent years of their lives training me with the hopes of this to never happen. I'm an awful showoff, and I can't even do that right. Spark was so much better. She got everything on the first try, while I lag behind her by miles. Dad was always so patient with me, even though I kept messing up. Now I have this shitty gift that I can't do anything with. I'm a disappointment, an idiot, a failure, pathetic dog...any insult anyone can call me....everyone thinks it. Why...am I here? What purpose do I serve?

Three years ago....

"Faster! You expect to outrun someone with that snail pace Cylon? Move those legs!"

"I'm trying dad, stop pushing me!" Cylon huffed as struggled to cross a path of mud.

"Looks like I won again big bro, eh?" Spark teased as she held her hands at her hips. She didn't have a drop of mud on her. "So what's my time Daddy?"

"14.42 seconds. New record, well done. Still, that's nothing compared to your mother's 6.52 seconds. You still need more."

Cylon muddled over the finish line covered in mud. "And mine?"

"One minute, 12.33 seconds. New personal record for you, but it isn't nearly good enough. You're slacking too much."

"I'm not! I'm trying as hard as I can!" He yelled while wiping his goggles clean.

"If you weren't slacking, then your time would've been exponentially better. We'll try again tomorrow, but right now you're a mess. Go clean up, and get ready for your studying. Your teacher told me how your grades are suffering."

Cylon grunted and punched a tree next to him and walked away, holding his hand that was now in pain.

He reminds me so much of when I was a child...

"Dad, were you like this as a kid? He's so competitive and cocky." Spark scoffed.

"Yes, almost like looking at a mirror. Except, I wasn't this bad. I can tell he tries, but he just isn't good enough right now." Gajeel sighed. "I just hope...he doesn't walk down the wrong path. The soul of a person cannot change, but it can be corrupted.

"What do you mean? Is Cylon gonna be okay?" She seemed worried. She folded her hands over her chest.

"..." Gajeel didn't respond. I just hope he doesn't stray...I know what it looks like when siblings compete, and how they protect each other, with such an objective love as to turn evil to protect the other. They sacrifice their own humanity to preserve the happiness of another, when they don't realize it could possible destroy them, leaving the other sibling alone and sad, only for them to be set on the same path. Then they repeat it. It's an endless, viscous cycle that continues until all siblings are gone. Don't be like...those sisters.

"Dad?"

"He'll be fine."
I hope...

Nox was watching the fight between Gurreign and Declan through the charred rubble of the house she was taking cover in. The orb Aegan had fired at her was still in effect, very gradually restoring energy to her, the fact that she was currently using this opportunity to catch a breather left her feeling more refreshed by the minute.
