DMU Chapter 1: Calm Before the Storm

Bol'gar growled under his breath, trekking through the harsh terrain of the valley. The sun beat down while the strong winds washed through the ravine, making for an unpleasant time walking. His sword was held in a sheath to his side, always seeming to buzz with the need to kill. Not that Bol'gar minded, that was. The feel of wet blood on his blade, on his skin, always brought a certain peace of mind to the sadistic warrior. Although, Bol'gar couldn't help but remember a time when he would relish in victory, rather than death. Those feelings were quickly crushed, though, once again replaced with those same sadistic notions. With those thoughts running through his head, he looked forward, a camp barely visible on the horizon: what he had come for. With renewed morale and vigor, he sped up his walk, determined to finally find a place to rest and, hopefully, regain what was rightfully his.

Makan was rolling through the valley, while he could have been walking, with his small legs rolling was much faster. He noticed that the winds in this valley were very strong and were trying to push him back. However with his steadfast spirit he prevailed and kept rolling through the wind. As he was rolling suddenly the winds turned and pushed him forwards with great speed, he didn't want to however he was going fast! "WHAAAA! SOMETHING, SOMEONE! STOP MEEEEEeeeee~!" he yelled as he was rolling through the valley. So fast that he could not see and went straight for someone's ankles who was walking in front of him.

Mokey, for a lack of a better term, just found himself into Mist Valley territory. In any case, it makes no difference to him. He does see a camp not too far away from where he is currently standing, and thus he begins his short trek to the encampent where he could find some nourishment for his rectangular stomach.

"I rly need some food yeah? Smoke weed everday mah nig," he would say as he would begin his trek.

Despite the sun shining on his rectangular body, he truly gives no fucks about his situation. For he is a simple gentle creature that only lives for the sake of living. One wonders what sorts of adventures this little monster had gone on, but for now we shall only focus on his current predicament. Even if he discovers monsters stronger than him, he shall absolutely give zero fucks. He lives the way of the Gangstah, as they call it, and would one day hope to attain the dank memes and the legendary weed. In any case, he continues walking to reach the camp.

Silent Swordsman walked along the dead grass paths that were littered all over the Mist Valley area. He looked behind him to see LVL 3 walking. I wonder what it is like...to have your childhood be ripped away. After hours of aimless walking, the dead grass paths turned into dirt roads, and he could see a fairly large camp. He was wondering if his apprentice noticed as well.

"Do you see it?" He asked calmly, with a smooth voice. "Let's see if they have any food and water, shall we?" The swordsman adjusted the large sword on his back to look somewhat less threatening -- if that's even possible. He hoped that the sight of him and a much younger child would show that they meant no ill will.

He mostly hoped for a bit of food, even if it was bread and water. The past few days he's been giving LVL 3 his food so he wouldn't grow ill. But, now the need for something to fill his stomach was beginning to physically wear him down.

(Haven't properly RP'd in a while. Time to get used to it again. XD)

As Mokey would continue on his rather short trek, he would cries for help and looked behind him. He saw what appears to be a mechanical being rolling down with the wind and approaching him with speed. Mokey wondered about the "ball's" situation, and wondered if he could actually stop him. So he decided he would use his stubby little paws, and try to stop him by pushing the force. As he attempted to reach out to stop the rolling ball, he would accidentally trip like a bitch, as someone would say. By doing so, he would act as a stopholder for the rolling being, but it might hurt a little. Despite that, he still gives zero fucks about his situation.

As he kept rolling a small while rectangle was laying in front of him, due to the sudden blockade Makan's trajectory was changed and he was flung into the sky. "NOOOO! Give me back the ground!" He screamed as he flew throughout the air, as he stopped accelerating he started to have some serious hang time. However shortly after he started dropping down, still in the spinning motion and his entire body started feeling hot as he started reaching the maximum falling speed and the fiction of the air on his metal body started heating him up.

Mokey, still giving no fucks, would get back up wondering what had occurred. He then looked behind him when he heard screaming. It seems that he wasn't able to stop him, and soon he would see him rolling through the air only to fall towards the ground. He wondered if the orange being had managed to survive, so he decided to go check the thing. So he would at least try and go to him, despite the distance that had been created.

Appearing from the side in a different direction, a young maiden emerged, scanning the situation and coming up with a perplexed look. One would notice that her feet did not touch the ground, as she was floating a few inches above it on large, feathery wings. She had pointed, elf-like ears and caramel-colored hair that just barely reached below her shoulders. She adorned a sleeveless white dress and bracelets against both wrists, along with golden sandals.
With a yawn, the maiden's sunken gaze slowly brightened, though she didn't look any less confused.
"Interesting sight for this early in the morning..."
(Assuming it's morning since Valk mentioned the sun, feel free to correct me if you see fit.)

As Bol'gar neared the campsite, he also neared the chaos ensuing between the strange marshmallow and the wheel of death. With a single raised eyebrow, his hand went to the hilt of his sword, gripping it while slowly approaching the two. A few glances to the side revealed two other swordsmen, an elf-like creature, and a few more monsters still too far to yet see approaching. With a sudden motion, he pulled his sword from his sheath, the single eye on it widening in excitement.

"You two! From where do you hail, and why do you come here!?" Bol'gar yelled at the two idiotic monsters, taking little notice of that fact that one had fallen. His voice was gravelly, like rocks grinding against one another; his manner of speech, however, reflected something of a past honor. Something that, although it was fading, still left traces on him.

Mokey, while on his to see if the ball like being was alright, would hear someone ask where was from. He looked to where the voice was coming from, and saw what seemed to be a swordsman in iron clad armor. For a bit he would look at him and wonder if the camp had food for him.

"Me? Well I'm not sure man, maybe I came from the hood and then I came to dis hood. It's allll good in da hood yo," he would say calmly to the swordsman.

Silent Swordsman stopped at the sound of the gravely voice, while putting a hand in front of LVL 3 to stop him. He looked over to the other two creatures, but didn't see them as important. However, the other creature gave him an eerie feeling. "Little one," he whispered to LVL 3, "Do not draw attention to yourself. We only respond if it is directed towards us. Now, we keep walking." He said as he lowered his arm, and signaled him to follow.

The young swordsman of the third level stopped when told to by his teacher. He was silent this whole journey. This plight on his life and the tragedy this boy saw was one of a truly terrifying series of events. He always wanted his teacher to eat his portions as well, yet he was kind to give his meals to him. The boy nodded with a small twin set of blades on his back as he continued to walk beside the one he called his teacher.

Gigobyte was walking through the mist valley in the hopes to find more warriors to train with. Although he met quite a few on his travels he still had much to learn. So with his ax on his back he continued on wards.

After walking a while, Gigobyte reached a camp of some sorts. He noticed some other creatures conversing at the other side of the camp. "Uhh Hey. Would you guys mind telling me what this place is? It seems kinda outa place here." Gigobyte would ask the creatures once he approached them.

Bol'gar looked at the newcomer - a small, lizard-like creature - and then back at the Mokey Mokey and mechanical ball before exhaling slowly, giving his blade a spin before sliding it back into its sheath. It seemed almost sad, the eye that had widened in its lust for blood now downcast. Still, his hand stayed on that same bloodthirsty sword. He wouldn't let his guard down.

"So I'll assume everyone walking through here is also a traveler, as well. Come. We should move on to camp. It should only be another few hundred yards." Bol'gar said, nodding to everyone currently around him. His eyes glanced to the two swordsmen, but if they wanted to ignore him, then he wouldn't pay them much mind, either; or, at least not noticeably.

The maiden's feet touched the ground as she watched. Her hands nervously reached for the sides of her dress and clenched, enveloping themselves in fistfuls of fabric.
"Focus, Ganymede. You have no business with petty squabbles unless they concern the goals you seek."
So far, none of them had concerned themselves with her, meaning that she shouldn't either. She noticed the swordsman in front, the one with a malevolent appearance, had mentioned a camp. Sounded like shelter to her. She turned on her heel and set off towards it without a word to anyone else.

Silent Swordsman looked back at the man who seemed to be quite dangerous, but he felt more at ease once he sheathed his sword. He then took a small bow. "I apologize. I do not intend any ill will. I am just trying to protect my student, and we need a place of shelter. To answer your previous question: We are here for answers. Our home was destroyed by the Monarchs, and we want to know why." He stood upright and looked back to LVL 3, then to the creature. "If I may ask, what is your name? All of you."

Mokey would look to the swordsman, with the full intention of giving zero fucks. That's just how this gentle kind creature is really. No matter who he talks too, he will act like he always had been since the day he started walking upright on his two stubby legs. Death is only a consequence after all in the realm of Duel Monsters.

"Mah name is Mokey. It's nice to meet ya, mah Niggahs," he says to the swordsman and everyone else with his usual look giving zero fucks.

Ganymede ignored the current conversation happening. It was slowly fading away as she drew closer to the camp. It seemed normal enough, a cluster of tents spread not too far apart, but enough. What she noticed was that it looked more like a military camp than anything. Perhaps it was the work of those tyrant fellows she heard of so often, the Monarchs. However, she figured that an encampment built by them would at least be a little more...colorful. The true purpose of the camp remained to be seen.

As Makan was quickly falling to the ground he saw a blur in front of him which was different from the brown and blue from the sky. It was white, trying to see what he was falling towards by extending his extremely short limbs he tried to give himself a better view of the blur. About 15 meters before he would crash into it he saw it was an angel of some sorts. "Watch out do-" That was the only thing he could say before the rotation made his voice inaudible. After that he continued to fly towards the angelic maiden.

Ganymede suddenly heard a voice of sorts calling. She couldn't gauge exactly how far away it was, but it sounded like it was from above her instead of behind. With a start, she remembered the object she had seen go flying into the air and noticed it hadn't reached the ground. Ganymede jumped forwards, turning around towards the group having a discussion far away from her and flapping her wings once to use the wind in an attempt to push herself backwards towards the camp and hopefully out of the way of whatever may be about to hit her.

The floating God head entered the Mist Valley, intending to search for one of his missing limbs in the area. He knew of a resistance camp in the area and while he cared little for the tribes the Monarchs claimed to be the rulers of the land. His land. He would regain his limbs and restore his unearthly power and the Monarchs would be Obliterated. All would know why he was King.

The Forbidden One spotted a group of lesser monsters ahead of him and beyond them, a camp that they were walking towards.
The disembodied head floated onward, toward the group and the camp.

Witty Phantom found himself in the Mist Valley Territory with no gold except the single fake coin he uses in one of his many tricks to rip people off. "Damnit where is a village or camp I can go to. I'm thirsty hungry and gold-less!" The Phantom surveyed his area around him and what seemed to be in a bit of a distance a camp. "Ah theres a camp. Hopefully there will be a sucker to steal from hahahah." The Witty Phantom made his way to the camp ready to rip-off the sucker or hopefully suckers at the site.

As Makan was falling down he calmed down. He had survived much worse blows than this trip through the air and waited for the impact. After the loud noise of breaking air had stopped echoing throughout the canyon they he fell in he slowly climbed outside of the crater he had left behind.

Still dizzy from his previous stunt he swayed from side to side a bit and tried to point at the thing that had dodged him previously and spoke. "R-remind me-oh to never do thaaaaaa-aaat again." As he was speaking he lost his balance several times but never quite fell over.

Ganymede looked at the strange metal object with mild concern. Even for something made out of metal that was probably not pleasant. She wasn't heartless.
"Are you alright? Just say yes or no." She asked the ball, perhaps a little more sternly than she should have.
